If you are in a fantasy football league that goes to the end of the regular season, you’re likely in a bind. Not only are there plenty of injuries and COVID cases as always, but now some teams have little to play for. As a result, you may find yourself stuck with a few more of your key pieces out than normal. Although the last week is always one of the toughest to project, here are three solid running back options to stream this week.
Read on for three RB fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 18. In some cases, one might still be able to claim these rushers off of waivers. In order to be included in the fantasy football RB streamers article, they must be rostered in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues.
Fantasy Football Streamers | Week 18 RBs
Rhamondre Stevenson | New England Patriots at MIA (39.9%)
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Damien Harris is the running back to own for the New England Patriots. When the Patriots are in the red zone, the duties of the backfield shift drastically in Harris’ favor. With that in mind, it’s important to remember just how many looks Rhamondre Stevenson is getting too. In the past seven games he’s played, Stevenson has double-digit carries in six of them.
Unlike the two other fantasy football running backs on this list, Stevenson sees very little work, if any, in the passing game. With a solid offensive line and positive game script virtually every week, however, he has the efficiency the others can’t match. In a game where Miami poses little legitimate threat to upsetting the Patriots, this game should be out of reach relatively quickly. It is at that time that Stevenson will be very effective and rack up the points. While he doesn’t give you a very high ceiling, his floor is something you can rely on every week.
Rex Burkhead | Houston Texans vs TEN (32.1%)
Quite frankly, there is no way Rex Burkhead should be rostered in at least half of leagues. While most leagues are certainly finished, he has been rostered on way too few fantasy football teams for too long. Burkhead should again get a bulk of the workload this upcoming week against the Tennessee Titans. His ability to contribute both in the air and on the ground, make him a dynamic option rarely still available in most leagues.
Tennessee is second against opposing running backs this year. The major difference between Houston and the other teams the Titans have faced however is simple — Houston has no other options. Outside of receiver Brandin Cooks, the next best option is rookie tight end Brevin Jordan. With the high amounts of volume alone, Burkhead is a solid play. Add in Houston’s improved quarterback play and he’s a guy you don’t want to miss.
Dare Ogunbowale | Jacksonville Jaguars vs IND (26.1%)
With James Robinson out for the season, it was widely wondered who would replace him for the Jaguars. After the past two weeks, it’s pretty clear that Dare Ogunbowale is the beneficiary of most of the fantasy football points left behind. In the last two games, Ogunbowale has averaged 15 fantasy points. That’s even more impressive when you consider one of those games came against New England last week when the Jaguars only scored 10 points.
The Indianapolis Colts are sixth against opposing running backs, but Ogunbowale provides the same kind of boost Burkhead does. If not Ogunbowale, who else can Jacksonville go to? He has found the end zone each of the past two weeks and should see more work on the ground now that his team likely won’t be blown out all game. He hasn’t been utilized much as a receiver but, when he has, he’s been efficient. With a growing role and a safe floor, Ogunbowale is a solid bet.
