Fantasy Football Streamers | Week 18 QBs

Taysom Hill | New Orleans Saints at ATL (49.9%)

Once Jameis Winston went down with an injury, few expected the Saints to have a chance at the playoffs. Although their odds are slim, the Saints are still alive. With a win over the Atlanta Falcons and a loss by the San Francisco 49ers, the New Orleans Saints are in. Not only will the Saints have an easy opponent this week, but it’s one in which their dynamic quarterback should be able to feast.

The Falcons are 30th against opposing fantasy football quarterbacks this season. With Taysom Hill’s elusiveness and usage in the run game, he should be able to hurt Atlanta even more than previous quarterbacks. Since becoming the starter for New Orleans, Hill has played four full games. In all but one, Taysom Hill scored 17 or more points. The one game he didn’t was a tough matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Against a bad Falcons team, Hill should get to 17 points again.

Davis Mills | Houston Texans vs TEN (2.5%)

In an odd twist of events, the Houston Texans have a talented player on their roster. Davis Mills may have had a shaky start to his season and career, but he has since found his groove. In his last six starts, Mills has eclipsed 14.5 points four times. The two instances he didn’t were against a tough 49ers team and a game against the Colts where he only attempted 14 passes.

Against Tennessee, Houston themselves has nothing to play for. Their divisional foe does though. After a bad season, the Texans have a chance to play spoiler to the Titans. The Titans are only 24th against opposing fantasy football quarterbacks this season. Mills should have plenty of good looks all season. In a season that has turned into a solid showing from the rookie, this is his chance to solidify himself as Houston’s starter moving forward.

Mac Jones | New England Patriots at MIA (20%)

Mac Jones has been shaky lately, but quite frankly, he’s the only solid fantasy football option left. Since the Patriots’ late bye in Week 14, Jones has been either red hot or ice cold. He has two performances putting up over 17 points and one in which he only scored five. While he hasn’t been as consistent as we’d like him to be, the one thing that is consistent is teams under Bill Belichick in games with plenty at stake.

The Miami Dolphins are eighth overall against opposing quarterbacks this season. While that would usually worry some, the Dolphins have rarely gone up against offenses that can run the ball as efficiently as New England. Another wrinkle is that the Patriots’ defense will likely shut down Miami just like the Titans did last week. Turnovers are to be expected and Jones should provide a decent floor with multiple short field opportunities.
