Whether you are in the playoffs or the consolation bracket, you still want to put forth the best team that you can. Whatever situation you find yourself in, here are some of my favorite fantasy waiver wire adds for Week 14.

To be considered as a possible “add,” they need to be owned in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues. The drops on this list are by no means must-drop, but rather they are droppable.

QB/RB Adds

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans (21.4%)

Week 13 was Tannehill’s worst performance since taking over as the starter for the Titans. The Colts have been one of the more difficult opponents for fantasy QBs, but Tannehill was still able to throw two touchdowns and no interceptions. The Titans face the Raiders, Texans and Saints through the fantasy playoffs, so things should get back to normal for Tannehill in the next few weeks.

Derrius Guice, RB, Washington Redskins (51.7%)

In his three weeks since returning from injury Guice has rushed the ball 27 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns, with an additional four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown. Week 13 was the best game of his career so far, with 129 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Both touchdowns came on one-yard runs, showing that he has a steady usage in the red zone.

Rashaad Penny, RB, Seattle Seahawks (37.6%)

After his Week 12 breakout with 129 rushing yards and a touchdown, Penny did not disappoint in Week 13. Not only did Penny score a rushing touchdown, but he also had another in the passing game. After hardly being used through the middle of the season, Penny appears to have earned the trust of his coach and team and should be in weekly flex consideration throughout the playoffs. If Carson has any more fumbling issues, Penny could get even more work down the stretch.

Alexander Mattison, RB, Minnesota Vikings (17.7%)

The Vikings are one of the most run-heavy offenses in the NFL, and owning their starting RB in fantasy is a big advantage. Prior to Week 13, Mattison already had five games with over 50 yards rushing as the backup to Dalvin Cook. With Cook leaving Week 13 early with a shoulder injury, Mattison only rushed for 22 yards, but added 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. It doesn’t look like Cook will miss any time, but if he does, Mattison is a must-start and is a league-winning type of pickup.

Bo Scarbrough, RB, Detroit Lions (46.7%)

Since taking over as the Detroit Lions’ starting RB, Scarbrough has seen an increase in carries each week. In Week 13, Scarbrough had 21 carries for 83 yards, but he was unable to find the end zone. In his time as the starter, Scarbrough has led the backfield in red zone opportunity, so there is a chance for a touchdown in the coming weeks. If Scarbrough is able to score, he will be a great fantasy starter.

Benny Snell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers (16.8%)

With no James Conner in the lineup for two straight weeks, Benny Snell has made the most of his opportunity. Over those two games, he has 37 rushes for 161 yards and a touchdown. If Conner’s shoulder injury persist, Snell should have a good game against the Cardinals. If Conner is back, Snell should still be in line for some touches and is back to being one of the more valuable handcuffs in fantasy.

Raheem Mostert, RB, San Francisco 49ers (14.1%)

Through 13 weeks, the 49ers are ranked top-three in rushing yards per game and it seems like whoever they put on the field succeeds. Over the past two weeks without Breida in the lineup, Mostert has rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns, with an additional 30 receiving yards. The 49ers play the Saints in Week 14, so it could be a tough matchup, but if anyone can find a weakness, it is the 49ers.

Pass Catcher Adds

Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets (46.9%)

For the first time this season, Robby Anderson has put together back-to-back startable fantasy games. Week 14 against the Dolphins provides Anderson with yet another opportunity to succeed, so if you have Anderson on your roster, make sure to start him because this could be the last time you get to, since the Jets play the Ravens and Steelers in Weeks 15 and 16, respectively.

Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers (43.9%)

Over the past four weeks, Deebo Samuel has had at least 100 receiving yards or a touchdown in each game. His targets have dropped since Kittle has been added back to the lineup, but he has been able to get in the end zone in back-to-back weeks. Deebo seems to be a safe play most weeks, even if he is seeing less targets.

Cole Beasley, WR, Buffalo Bills (24.0%)

Beasley had himself a Thanksgiving feast against the Cowboys. He was able to catch 6/7 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown in his best fantasy performance of the season. The Bills do face the Ravens, Steelers and Patriots in the fantasy playoffs, so his upside is definitely limited, but his targets and usage are very promising and could offer a safe floor.

James Washington, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (22.6%)

James Washington started the season off slow and was a feature of the drop section of this article at one point, but he has really turned things around in the second half of the season. Washington has had at least 90 yards and a touchdown in three of his last four games. This increase in production may be partly due to the fact that Juju Smith-Schuster has been absent for his best two games, but he has proven that he should be a part of this offensive scheme moving forward.

Anthony Miller, WR, Chicago Bears (10.3%)

Like Washington, Anthony Miller was also previously featured in the drop section of this article. However, things have started to really turn around for him over the last three weeks, catching 21/33 targets for 271 yards. He has not scored a touchdown, but he has been targeted five times in the red zone over the last two weeks. Miller’s usage has become safe, but he faces a fairly difficult schedule over the next three weeks, so be cautious if you have to start him.

Russell Gage, WR, Atlanta Falcons (4.3%)

Before the Falcons traded Mohamed Sanu, Gage only had eight targets. Since then, he has 26 receptions on 37 targets for 241 receiving yards and a touchdown. Gage has become an important and reliable part of the offense over the last few weeks and offers a very safe floor. In Week 13, Gage was targeted three times in the red zone, adding the possibility of a touchdown each week on top of his safe usage.

Mike Gesicki, TE, Miami Dolphins (10.3%)

Mike Gesicki’s Week 13 performance was his best fantasy game of the season. He was able to catch five of his seven targets for 79 yards and a touchdown. This was Gesicki’s fifth consecutive game with at least six targets. He has also been targeted in the red zone in each of the past two games, adding to his touchdown upside.

David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns (21.2%)

David Njoku has still not been activated off of the IR, but if he does come back for Week 14, it couldn’t be a better matchup. The Cardinals have given up the most points to opposing TEs this season, and they were just torched by Tyler Higbee. If Njoku is active, you should be able to start him, but if he is inactive, Demetrius Harris should be a high-upside play in deep leagues.

Handcuffs with Low Ownership

As we enter the playoffs, you need to do everything you can to help your team win.
