When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor. In fact, many owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that starting in Week 13, this article will have some solid options for you. Don’t forget there are four teams on a bye this week (CLE, CAR, GB and TEN), making a streaming option that much more appealing.

Read on for three D/ST fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 13.

Defenses must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 13 fantasy football D/ST streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.

Week 13 Fantasy Football D/ST Streamers

Minnesota Vikings at DET (26.3%)

The Minnesota Vikings will likely be one of the top-streamed defenses this week simply because of the strategy of playing the defense facing the Lions. This was the go-to method last year when facing the Jets and is just as viable against the Lions. While the Vikings have been allowing quite a lot of points to opposing teams recently, they should feel comfortable against Detroit. They’ve been able to force a turnover in four of their last five games and, if they can generate some pressure, will easily return double-digit fantasy value to fantasy managers.

New York Giants at MIA (3.6%)

The New York Giants are coming off a big divisional win against the Eagles, and it may entice fantasy football managers to plug them in as a streaming option this week against an underwhelming Miami offense. Miami played its best game of the season last week against the banged-up and Cam Newton-led Panthers. I’m not buying their 33-point performance just yet and the Giants have been able to post double-digit fantasy performances three times in the last five weeks. Opposing defenses facing the Dolphins average about 7.3 fantasy points per game this season and, considering how well the Giants have been able to force turnovers recently, I would bank on Tua Tagovailoa throwing one or two picks.

Chicago Bears vs. ARI (39.4%)

This is not a pretty start by any means, but with the chance of Kyler Murry and DeAndre Hopkins showing some rust coming off their long absence, the Bears could return some solid fantasy value to their owners. They will likely be one of the top streaming options this week because of the point we’re at in the season where there aren’t many good options left. The Bears have scored double-digit fantasy points twice in the last three weeks and have held their opponents under 20 points in back-to-back weeks. They haven’t been able to force as many turnovers as usual, but they are applying some pressure to opposing quarterbacks. If you need a dart throw for this week, here it is.
