FlurrySports discusses the best fantasy football waiver wire pickups for NFL Week 10, including Parker Washington from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Last week, there were arguably too many fantasy football waiver wire pickups to choose from. A bunch of players suddenly found themselves in promising situations, be it from injuries ahead of them on the depth chart or increased opportunities. Fast-forward to Week 10 and diagnosing the top waiver claims feels like a much more uncomfortable exercise. Managers deserve some credit for hiking the ownership percentages of several attractive options in the past week. If you find yourself unsure of where to turn, we are here to help!
On the bright side, there were a lot of competitive games played in Week 9. As a result, one has to believe that the player snap counts and usage rates are a bit more telling as far as what teams want to do when playing meaningful snaps offensively. We will continue to utilize the latest snap counts, injury news and usage rates from around the league when prioritizing our waiver wire claims.
Let’s take a look at some of our favorite fantasy football waiver wire pickups to target ahead of Week 10.
Note: Players must be owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues to be included in the best fantasy football waiver wire pickups column. Ownership percentages will reflect their status on Tuesday mornings ahead of standard waiver processing.
Best Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 10
QB Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups
Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks (41.9%)
We are over halfway through the NFL regular season, and Sam Darnold ranks as the QB13 in fantasy scoring. No doubt, this is a shocking revelation for some. Week 9 saw Darnold take full advantage of a bad Washington defense to the tune of an 87.5% completion percentage and four touchdown passes. His 27.2 fantasy points allowed him to finish QB6 on the week, and this marked the second time on the year Darnold has eclipsed the 27-point threshold. Week 10 figures to be tougher as the Seahawks face Arizona, but Darnold remains a solid pickup and streaming option.
Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars (29.3%)
Readers of last week’s fantasy football waiver wire pickups column will notice that our quarterback section looks very familiar. Trevor Lawrence is once again a solid option on the heels of his fourth straight game scoring north of 17 fantasy points. It should be noted that Lawrence didn’t exactly maximize a favorable matchup last week against Las Vegas. Rather, he rushed for two touchdowns, which inflated his final line. There’s not much to get excited about regarding a Week 10 matchup against a nasty Houston defense, but in a tough week for QB streamers, Lawrence is worth considering.
RB Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans (43.9%)
I’ve only written about Tyjae Spears a half-dozen times over the last few weeks, both as a waiver wire and RB streamers candidate. There’s not a whole lot new to his story. The Titans’ backfield was once again a pretty even split, and Spears garnered ten total touches (seven carries, three targets/receptions). The snap count, usage and resulting 9.2 PPR points are right on par with what we expect from Spears on a weekly basis. He remains a solid RB3/FLEX play with the potential for greater upside.
Dylan Sampson, Cleveland Browns (10.4%)
We last saw Dylan Sampson in Week 8 prior to the Browns’ bye when he played 46% of the team’s offensive snaps, a high-water mark for him to date. That percentage could be outdone this Sunday, depending on the status of Sampson’s backfield running mates. At the time of writing, Quinshon Judkins’ status is in doubt due to a shoulder injury. Meanwhile, Jerome Ford is hardly an inspiring playmaker and also has a small chance of being moved prior to Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. Add it all up, and Sampson may get his chance to shine against a bad New York Jets run defense. Many managers may overlook him off the bye.
Devin Singletary, New York Giants (4.5%)
All of the Tyrone Tracy Jr. hype waned quickly in Week 9 as he was out-snapped 32-25 by Devin Singletary. For what it’s worth, Tracy was banged up in the game, which could have skewed the snap counts. The fact that the Giants were in a large deficit may have also been a factor. Nonetheless, the distribution of playing time necessitates us targeting Singletary among fantasy football waiver wire pickups. He notably averaged over five yards per carry in Week 9. If Tracy were to miss time, the former Florida Atlantic standout would be primed for a much greater role.
WR Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (5.1%)
Whenever Parker Washington has gotten opportunities this season, he has looked really freaking good. His opportunities figure to be multiplied exponentially in the coming weeks due to the beleaguered state of the Jaguars’ wide receiver room. Travis Hunter is on IR, and Brian Thomas Jr. is having both injury and playmaking issues. With top tight end Brenton Strange also still on IR, Washington should be the top target for Trevor Lawrence in the short term. Need proof? In the last two games, Washington has seen a whopping 19 targets while playing 88% of the snaps in both.
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (25.6%)
The Packers appear to have numerous issues from a football standpoint, and the team’s wide receiver room continues to be a conundrum for fantasy managers in 2025. As it stands heading into Week 10, Christian Watson looks like one of the team’s two preferred WRs for fantasy purposes alongside Romeo Doubs. Watson has been targeted four times in each of his first two games back from injury and remains a big-play threat in this offense. His snap count increased from Week 8 to Week 9 and should continue to do so as he gets further removed from the ACL injury that had him sidelined.
Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts (11.8%)
For a player who plays more than 80% of the snaps in virtually every game and operates the WR2 in a prolific offense, Alec Pierce remains criminally under-owned in fantasy. With the Colts playing from behind in Week 9, Pierce garnered a career-high 13 targets. That brings his target total over the last three weeks to 38. Meanwhile, his yardage totals in those games checked in at 98, 69 and 115, respectively. Viewed as a deep threat, Pierce is proving to have more than that in his arsenal. Injuries plagued the first two years of his career, but Pierce continues to look sharp this season and is a great fantasy football waiver wire pickups option.
TE Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups
Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears (23.6%)
Colston Loveland officially had his coming-out party on Sunday, taking full advantage of the turd that is the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense. The tenth overall pick in this year’s draft, Loveland had seen his playing time and usage trend positively in recent weeks, leading up to his 118-yard, two-touchdown effort in Week 9. If not for Brock Bowers, he would have finished as the TE1 in fantasy. Add in the fact that Cole Kmet sustained a concussion in the game and Loveland could have plenty more runway in the near future.
Mason Taylor, New York Jets (14.6%)
Another player who is coming off a bye that could be flying under the radar as far as fantasy football waiver wire pickups are concerned is Mason Taylor. In a Jets’ offense that lacks proven pass-catchers outside of Garrett Wilson, Taylor has been granted the opportunity to make an impact in his rookie season. Over the last five games, he has seen a whopping 39 targets and has found his way to double-digit PPR points on three occasions. He has been on the field for over 70% of the snaps in every game to date, and there is no sign of that changing moving forward.
Luke Musgrave, Green Bay Packers (0.2%)
With Tucker Kraft being lost for the rest of the season to a torn ACL, Luke Musgrave becomes the next man up at TE for the Packers. Kraft not only commanded a 17.5% target share within the Green Bay offense but has also been a monster from a YAC (yards after catch) standpoint this season. Musgrave may not possess the same upside, but he is still a solid football player who is capable of replacing more of Kraft’s production than some might expect. The fact that he saw three targets on the final drive of Sunday’s game after Kraft’s injury is promising from a fantasy football waiver wire pickups opportunity standpoint.
