Yes, Day 3 NFL Draft picks can be overlooked as true competitors, especially for fantasy football purposes. However, after a season in which we saw Puka Nacua take the league by storm, we should treat these final four rounds with a bit more respect.

Betting sites often offer promotions, bonuses, and rewards programs to attract and retain Shazam Casino customers. These incentives can include sign-up bonuses, free bets, and loyalty rewards, which further encourage people to participate in NFL betting.

Let’s take a look at the fantasy football value for some NFL Draft Day 3 selections, including Troy Franklin, Devontez Walker and more.

Fantasy Football Value For Day 3 NFL Draft Picks

    1. WR Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos

There’s typically a consensus surprise pick who falls to Day 3 of the NFL Draft, and this year it was Troy Franklin, who was picked 102nd overall. Franklin stood out as the top choice on this list due to a couple of key factors. First, he is reunited with college teammate Bo Nix, who’s in contention for the starting QB job for the Broncos this season. Also, the Denver Broncos’ receiver depth chart is not the greatest. While Courtland Sutton is going to still see most of the targets, Franklin is going to be presumably battling for WR2/WR3 on this depth chart alongside the names of Josh Reynolds and Marvin Mims. When you pair those two together, the options are very intriguing.

As of writing, the Troy Franklin fantasy football ADP is 141st overall and WR60.

    2. WR Devontez Walker, Baltimore Ravens

With the Baltimore Ravens selecting Devontez Walker 113th overall, he enters a promising pass-catching rotation with TE Mark Andrews and WR Zay Flowers. However, his exact position on the WR depth chart remains uncertain, especially with Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor still there. If the Ravens can quickly have Walker reach his potential, there’s an opportunity for him to emerge as the WR2 and become the option in the passing game for Lamar Jackson.

As of writing, the Devontez Walker fantasy football ADP is 206th overall, and WR81.

    3. RB Braelon Allen, New York Jets

Among the possible landing spots for Braelon Allen in the draft, being selected by the New York Jets with the 134th overall pick was definitely not the most favorable option for fantasy football purposes. He joins a crowded RB room with Breece Hall leading the pack. Allen likely finds himself in a training camp battle for the Jets’ RB2 spot, contending with fellow rookie Isaiah Davis and 2023 fifth-round pick Israel “Izzy” Abanikanda. My early opinion is that Allen will likely secure the RB2 role behind Hall, positioning himself as a handcuff option. However, the Jets’ RB2 battle is definitely going to be something to keep your eye on during training camp.

As of writing, the Braelon Allen fantasy football ADP is 159th overall and RB50.

    4. RB Audric Estime, Denver Broncos

With the 147th overall pick, the Broncos bolstered their RB corps by selecting Audric Estime. While it isn’t the most promising situation for Estime, given the presence of Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin on the RB depth chart, the usage between the Broncos RBs was a mess last season, which offers some intrigue for Estime. Just look at last season, from Weeks 15-17, Perine, McLaughlin and Williams each led the team in RB PPR scoring for a week. Despite the potential messiness of the depth chart, Estime does see an opportunity, considering Williams is entering the final year of his contract and head coach Sean Payton did say Estime will compete for touches behind Williams on early downs.

As of writing, the Audric Estime fantasy football ADP is 190th overall and RB59.

    5. TE Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers selected TE Ja’Tavion Sanders with the 101st overall pick. The pick underscores the team’s commitment to revamping their offense, particularly by upgrading the offensive line and providing Bryce Young with more enhanced weapons. During his tenure at Texas, Sanders notably set the school record for career receptions by a tight end, with 99. While that number does seem low, he was in an offense with WRs Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell, both of whom were also drafted earlier in the NFL Draft.

The Panthers’ need for a pass-catching tight end was evident because Ian Thomas and Tommy Tremble were not going to cut it. The most receptions they had in a game last season was four. In fact, this has been a long-time need for the Panthers. Since Week 14 of 2019, there have been only two regular season games where a TE has caught the ball more than five times for the Panthers. The lingering question remains whether the upgraded offensive line can provide Young with time to throw the ball.

As of writing, Ja’Tavion Sanders’ fantasy football ADP is 203rd overall and TE29.
