Week 14 is here, and with it, the last week of the season for many fantasy football leagues. Whether you are still jockeying for position or fighting for your playoff life, you have come to the right place for your fantasy football start or sit questions.
This week, the Colts, Dolphins, Patriots and Eagles are all on bye, so you might be scrambling to replace some of your best players. This article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson or Justin Herbert, you know what to do. Instead, we will look at fantasy football QBs on the fringe of QB1/Streamer status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups. Let’s get to it!
RB Fantasy Football Start/Sit
WR Fantasy Football Start/Sit
Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 14 QBs
Start: Taysom Hill at Jets
Team Name: Taysom Hill of Beans
Last week, Taysom Hill was a recommended start. He proceeded to complete under half of his passes, throwing four interceptions and breaking his finger en route to finishing the week as the QB4. He put up 24.7 fantasy points, with a 70-yard touchdown pass and 101 rushing yards. No, that is not a typo. This week, he gets the Jets, who are giving up 18.4 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing QBs. Even with a mallet finger that is similar to the one that cost Russell Wilson multiple games earlier this season, Hill makes for a rock-solid QB1 play. With his solid rushing floor and nice matchup, get Hill in your lineup to guide your team to the playoffs.
Start: Cam Newton vs. Falcons
Team Name: Camburger and Fries
This week, if you are looking for a bye week replacement for Jalen Hurts or Carson Wentz, look no further than Cam Newton who gets a matchup with the Falcons. I know what you are thinking, how can I trust Cam with the playoffs looming after his last performance where he completed less than a quarter of his passes and got intercepted twice before being benched? That was against the Dolphins, who have become one of the stingiest pass defenses in the league over the last few weeks. You can safely start Newton this week against the Falcons who are giving up 20.7 fppg and averaging a sack per game over that same timeframe.
Sit: Joe Burrow vs. 49ers
Team Name: So Much Depends Upon a Red Wheelburrow
The second fantasy football QB in the article with a broken finger. But, unlike Taysom Hill who is still a start, Joe Burrow is a sit this week. Now, this is relative. If you don’t have a comparable QB and there are no streamer options out there, you may have to roll with Burrow, but temper your expectations if you do. Not only does Burrow have a broken pinky to deal with, but the 49ers defense has also limited opposing passing games over the past four weeks, only allowing 12.7 fantasy points per game and only allowing five passing touchdowns over that span while intercepting four passes. If you have a better option, leave Burrow on your bench, as he doesn’t have much upside this week.

Sit: Ryan Tannehill vs. Jaguars
Team Name: One Tanne Hill
Do you remember over the summer when the Titans traded for Julio Jones and this offense looked to be unstoppable with he and A.J. Brown on the outside and Derrick Henry in the backfield with Ryan Tannehill running the show? That seems like a distant memory. Last week was a new low for Tannehill, as he was only able to pass for 93 yards, throw an interception and lose a fumble en route to a 9.1 fantasy point day. Even if Julio Jones comes back this week, Tannehill does not make the cut as a fantasy football QB1. Leave him on your bench.
