Week 11 of the NFL season is here! That means, if your playoffs start in Week 15, there are four weeks left to solidify your ticket to make a championship run. This week, the NFL schedulers have decided to give us a little reprieve, as there are only two teams off this week — the Broncos and Rams. As a reminder, this article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Lamar Jackson, Josh, Allen or Dak Prescott, you know what to do. This article will look at fantasy football QBs on the fringe of QB1/Streamer status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups. Let’s get to it!
RB Fantasy Football Start/Sit
Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 11 QBs
Start: Ryan Tannehill vs. Texans
Team Name: Tannehillbillies
In the first two games ADH (After Derrick Henry), Ryan Tannehill has had a couple of tough matchups against the Rams and the Saints, both of which are in the top-10 for fantasy points per game (fppg) allowed to opposing QBs. The Rams held him to only 15 fantasy points, while he was able to get 18.6 against the Saints last week. In both games, he threw for one touchdown and ran for another. This week, he gets a much more fantasy-friendly matchup against the Texans, who are allowing 19.1 fppg to QBs. Tannehill makes for a fine start this week. However, it would not be surprising if he runs for another touchdown, as he has in four of the last five weeks.
Start: Cam Newton vs. Football Team
Team Name: We Cam Do It
Cam Newton is back in Carolina and it looks like he is set to start this week. While he certainly won’t be able to maintain his efficiency from his limited action last weekend where he accounted for two touchdowns on all of nine plays, he does bring a safe floor with his rushing ability. If you are in need of a spot start this week, with Matthew Stafford on a bye or have been streaming QBs this season, Newton makes for a nice play against Washington, who is giving up 23.6 fppg to opposing QBs, which is a full two points behind the Chiefs for the worst in the league. Start him as a low-end fantasy football QB1 and in two QB/Superflex leagues this week.

Sit: Carson Wentz at Bills
Team Name: Wentz, Twice, Three Times a Lady
Heading into last week, Carson Wentz was riding a six-game streak with multiple touchdown passes and was featured here as a “Start” option against the Jaguars. He disappointed, failing to throw a touchdown for the first time since Week 3. Don’t look for a rebound this week either, as he draws the Bills, who are allowing a minuscule 10.7 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs. That is a full three points less than the next toughest matchup, the Patriots. With only two teams on bye this week, Wentz will not finish as a fantasy football QB1.
Sit: Daniel Jones at Buccaneers
Team Name: Daniel Jones’s Locker
The Buccaneers have been beatable through the air this season, allowing 17 passing touchdowns. Just last week, Taylor Heinicke was able to put up QB1 numbers. With multiple players likely back for the Giants this week, including Saquon Barkley, it may look like Daniel Jones is startable this week. Don’t do it. Jones has only been a QB1 twice this season and has only put up single-digit fantasy points in three of the last five weeks. Look for the Buccaneers to make a statement this week and Jones, like nearly all of the Giants, belongs on your bench.
