Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 8 WRs
Start: DeVonta Smith Fantasy Outlook vs. Steelers
In the battle of Pennsylvania football supremacy, look for the Philadelphia Eagles passing game to have a distinct advantage against the Steelers, who are giving up 36.6 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing WRs (second-most). A.J. Brown is a definite start as a WR1 and DeVonta Smith is a locked-in WR2 in this matchup. Smith has finished as a WR2 in four of his six games to start the season, including one week as the overall WR1. Our fantasy football start/sit opinion for Week 8 is to start him.
Start: D.J. Moore Fantasy Outlook vs. Falcons
If you are in a pinch with one of the Kansas City Chiefs or Los Angeles Chargers WRs on bye, D.J. Moore is a viable play as a WR2 after finally finishing as a WR1 last week with P.J. Walker at the helm. His seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown were all season-highs. This week, he gets the best matchup on the board against the Atlanta Falcons, who are giving up 38.4 fppg to opposing WRs on the season. He should keep it going this week, and he belongs in lineups if you need a spot start.

Sit: Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook vs. Colts
Despite having his best game of the season last week against the Green Bay Packers with Taylor Heinicke at the helm, the majority of the production came on his 37-yard touchdown reception. This week, in a matchup with the Indianapolis Colts defense, which is holding opposing WRs to only 18.7 fppg, McLaurin is a boom-or-bust, touchdown-dependent play who will likely disappoint.
Sit: Christian Kirk Fantasy Outlook vs. Broncos
Much like how QB Trevor Lawrence is a sit this week due to the tough matchup across the pond, Christian Kirk is a sit due to the tough matchup with the Denver Broncos, who are allowing only 18.4 fppg to opposing WRs. While Kirk did produce last week in a tough matchup against the New York Giants, he has also had several down games this season. This will be another one of those. Leave him on the bench this week, unless you are desperate.
