Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 8 TEs Include Dalton Kincaid

While there are no teams on bye this week, that doesn’t make the tight end position in fantasy football any easier. Many owners choose to stream the position, while others try to stack up players on their bench. Regardless of your strategy, you may have some tough TE decisions to make. We’ll look to help you with some Week 8 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em help below.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce. However, after the top couple of tiers at the tight end position, you may be playing the matchup more than the player himself. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 8 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis at TE.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 8 TEs

Start: Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Outlook vs Buccaneers

While Dalton Kincaid has somehow failed to live up to the preseason comparisons to Travis Kelce, he is looking like a solid play amongst these Week 8 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em tight ends.

The Bills are in need of someone other than Stefon Diggs to step up on offense. Operating in a more standard tight end role against the Buccaneers on Thursday, due to the Dawson Knox injury, Kincaid can be a mismatch for Buffalo. Last game, he caught eight passes for 75 yards. Feel free to include Dalton Kincaid in your Week 8 fantasy football starting lineup. He is a solid streaming TE option.

Start: Logan Thomas Fantasy Outlook vs Eagles

The passing attack for the Washington Commanders has been fruitful for fantasy football, when they are playing from behind. In a rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend, it certainly looks like Washington will be trailing and throwing the ball, making Logan Thomas a solid option.

Last week, the Commanders found themselves down to the New York Giants. It resulted in Thomas catching four passes for 51 yards. The game script is in favor of Logan Thomas putting together a solid performance again this week, so look for him to see a handful of targets once again.

Sit: Tyler Higbee Fantasy Outlook at Cowboys

Not only is Tyler Higbee a “sit” in our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em for Week 8, but he doesn’t need to be owned in most fantasy leagues. Yet, Higbee is owned in nearly 60% of ESPN fantasy leagues and started in almost 18%.

While Higbee started the season strong, he moved down the pecking order once Cooper Kupp returned to the lineup. Higbee averaged four targets per game over the first four weeks of the season. However, he has totaled just five targets in the past three games. There aren’t enough targets to go around with the Los Angeles Rams, and the Tyler Higbee fantasy value suffers as a result.

Sit: Taysom Hill Fantasy Outlook at Colts

I was surprised to see the expert consensus at FantasyPros rank Taysom Hill as the fantasy football TE13 for Week 8. I suppose it proves the word “expert” is very loosely applied to many any the fantasy sports industry.

Can anyone tell me what Hill has done that would indicate any kind of consistency or give anyone confidence for fantasy football moving forward? Yes, he caught 11 of his 13 targets over the past two games. Also yes, he combined for four receptions over the rest of the season. There is no reason to believe Taysom Hill will see consistent targets or snaps. Also, Juwan Johnson was upgraded to a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and could play this weekend as well, which hurts Hill’s value as a receiver even more.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
