We have a whopping six teams on bye in NFL Week 7, though few of them have tight ends you planned to start. Still, the TE position is one of the most-streamed positions in fantasy. For this reason, there are many fantasy owners looking to Week 7 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em help at tight end.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce. However, after the top couple of tiers at the tight end position, you may be playing the matchup more than the player himself. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 7 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis at TE.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 7 TEs

Start: Pat Freiermuth Fantasy Outlook at Rams

Pat Freiermuth returns to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ lineup this week, and fans are hoping something changes with the Pittsburgh offense following their bye week. Last year, the team found a bit of success when using Freiermuth, so it’s possible they get back to that now that he is healthy again.

However, the reason why he is featured in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article for Week 7 is the matchup. The Rams surrender the third-most fantasy points to fantasy TEs this season, making this an outstanding get-right game for the Steelers and their tight end.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Pat Freiermuth was ruled out of NFL Week 7 due to a hamstring injury.

Start: Luke Musgrave Fantasy Outlook at Broncos

Luke Musgrave is a hyper-athletic rookie tight end for the Green Bay Packers who has shown flashes of fantasy relevance this season. Obviously, a concussion messed up his momentum a bit, as has the coaching of the Packers overall. However, if Green Bay shows a bit of competency from the offensive play-caller, then Musgrave will start to be used much more following their bye week.

Musgrave can be a much-needed vertical threat for Green Bay, and what better matchup than the Denver Broncos? The Broncos have surrendered the most fantasy points to TEs this season, making them a target for streamers and this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em column every week.

Sit: David Njoku Fantasy Outlook at Colts

David Njoku hasn’t had a single good game this season. Yet, he is owned in over 60% of NFL fantasy leagues. Obviously, he isn’t a must-own, and he is certainly a “sit” in our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em for Week 7.

Will Deshaun Watson play this week? Who knows. If not, it’s tough to love Njoku. Even if Watson does play, maybe he does have a shoulder issue. As for the matchup, the Colts have surrendered only one touchdown to tight ends this season, and Week 7 is unlikely to change that.

Sit: Gerald Everett Fantasy Outlook at Chiefs

Too many fantasy owners are getting tricked into starting Gerald Everett this week. Hell, the FantasyPros’ consensus has him ranked as TE15! Don’t let last week’s touchdown fool you; Everett shouldn’t be in your starting lineup.

Everett has rarely been worthy of a start with the Chargers when Donald Parham is active. He has more than three targets just twice this season. His touchdown saved him last week as well, as Everett totaled only 16 yards.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
