Week 7 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em RB analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Warren.

Are we having fun yet? Injuries to the running back position have fantasy football managers scrambling. And, ironically, the bye weeks for the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills could bring a sigh of relief, as being forced to start Derrick Henry and James Cook has brought more pain than pleasure lately. Still, it brings questions about who to plug into your lineup, and I’ll help to answer some of these questions for this week! Today, we’ll go over our Week 7 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em to help you decide on some of those tough lineup decisions.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 7 RBs

Start: Jaylen Warren Fantasy Outlook at Bengals

FantasyPros’ Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) Rank: 18

Zach Brunner’s Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings

Jaylen Warren returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers lineup last week, and he immediately saw 13 touches while playing 52.5% of the snaps. Volume should not be an issue for Warren despite Kenneth Gainwell playing well in his absence. This week, the Steelers are playing on a short week against a Cincinnati Bengals defense that just allowed over 150 yards and two touchdowns to Josh Jacobs.

This season, Jaylen Warren has averaged 17 looks per game, with 3.5 coming in the red zone, per our Opportunity Index. No team surrenders more fantasy points per game to opposing RBs than the Bengals (33.1). So, with Warren likely seeing a nice workload once again on a short week, he should be efficient and have a high chance to score a touchdown on Thursday Night Football.

Start: Chase Brown Fantasy Outlook vs Steelers

ECR Ranks: 23

As a Day 1 Chase Brown hater, I’m not here to say he is going to set the world on fire. However, on a short week against the Steelers, Brown can be a Flex or an RB2 for you. Joe Flacco has already enjoyed targeting running backs this season, but with the Steelers’ pass rush coming fast, Flacco will have to get the ball out of his hands quickly. Yes, running the ball will be difficult, as proven by Quinshon Judkins’ performance last week. However, the seven receptions allowed to the Browns’ backfield showed that there are fantasy points to be had against this Steelers front seven.

Through six weeks, Brown has averaged a respectable 16.3 looks per game, and he could see more in this matchup. Brown totaled 100 yards and a touchdown the last time he went up against the Steelers as well. In PPR leagues, feel free to start Chase Brown as a high-floor option in your lineup!

Sit: Tony Pollard Fantasy Outlook vs Patriots

ECR Rank: 28

After featuring Tony Pollard on this side of the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em last week, why mess with a good thing? Pollard is looking like a mid-tier bye week fill-in for the rest of the season, with the return of Tyjae Spears. Tony Pollard was out-snapped by Spears last week (36-26), and the only positive Pollard previously had going for him was volume. That is no longer the case. On top of that, he draws a matchup against a New England Patriots team that is the third-best in yards per carry allowed this season (3.5).

Sit: Bam Knight Fantasy Outlook vs Packers

ECR Rank: 32

I understand you may want to chase last week’s performance, since he was the top scorer in the Arizona Cardinals backfield. Guess what? Bam Knight carried the ball 11 times for 34 yards, and then he had 20 receiving yards on one catch. He luckily got a touchdown, but the Cardinals are taking a hot-hand approach to this backfield, and even on his “hot” day, it wasn’t anything more than a sizzle. This week, Knight and the Cardinals face the Packers. Green Bay surrenders the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to RBs, and they have allowed the fewest rushing yards in the league to RBs (331).
