Week 7 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em QB analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff.
In our Week 7 quarterback Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article, we are giving you the tools necessary to help you make those tough decisions at the top of your lineup. With injuries, inconsistent play and tough matchups, you may be choosing from a few quarterbacks to start this week. Use this as a guide to help you make that decision.
The big dogs like Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts will not be mentioned. Yes, start them. Who do they play? Doesn’t matter. Instead, we will be talking about the players who may be on the borderline of that starting lineup threshold. These are the players that you are debating on starting, or are sitting as QB2s on your bench.. So, depending on the matchup, they could be a start or a sit. Make sense?
Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 7 QBs
Start: Jared Goff Fantasy Outlook vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After the Lions got beaten pretty handily last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, they have the opportunity to get back on the winning side in a huge NFC matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This game has huge playoff tie-breaking ramifications, so this feels like almost a must-win game for the Lions to keep pace. To me, that means that Dan Campbell and Jared Goff bring out all of the stops in this one. Playing at home, where Jared Goff usually dominates, the Lions get a matchup against one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. On the season, the Buccaneers have given up the eighth-most passing yards. On top of that, they have given up 10 passing touchdowns.
Goff has the pieces in Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to lead the offense to another big week. With the Lions’ defense banged up, Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers’ offense have a chance to score points in this one, leading to a potential shoutout.
Start: Drake Maye Fantasy Outlook at Tennessee Titans
Drake Maye has quickly turned into one of the better young quarterbacks in the NFL and is blossoming in front of our eyes. He has led the New England Patriots to a 4-2 record, and he currently sits at fifth in terms of passing yards in the NFL this season. Maye has scored 19 or more fantasy points in four of his last five games and has been great at passing over 20 yards this season. The Titans have not been strong in rushing the passer this season, so Maye will have the ability to work through all of his reads to find an open receiver.
With Stefon Diggs, Hunter Henry and Kayshon Boutte being atop of the Pats’ passing game, Maye has the pieces around him to be successful. On top of that, Maye does provide some rushing ability, so everything on the ground is that much extra against the Titans. Continue to start Drake Maye in fantasy football for Week 7.

Sit: Jaxson Dart Fantasy Outlook at Denver Broncos
Jaxson Dart has opened his rookie year on somewhat of a heater, scoring more than 15 points in each of his three starts. The issue with this game is that Denver is better than any defense that Dart has seen yet this season. While Dart’s rushing upside has been at the forefront of his fantasy abilities, the Broncos shut down Justin Fields last week. They have been pressuring quarterbacks at one of the best rates in the NFL this season, even totaling nine sacks last week. The Broncos do not surrender fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Coming off a big win against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, this is a big letdown spot for Dart as he takes on the best defense in the NFL this week.
Look elsewhere if you have been riding Dart for the past couple of weeks, as he is our first “sit” in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.
Sit: Mac Jones/Brock Purdy Fantasy Outlook vs Atlanta Falcons
Mac Jones and the San Francisco 49ers have been a little bit of a surprise this season. Even with injuries decimating them, Jones has looked great. This week will be the opposite, though, as the 49ers take on a strong Falcons defense, which does not surrender fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. On the season, the Falcons have given up the fewest amount of passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. The 49ers have been able to stay in games by utilizing Christian McCaffrey. I think San Francisco should be able to run the ball in this game, but in terms of passing, they will struggle. If Brock Purdy gets the start, he will play injured, leading to less-than-ideal play. Look for someone other than San Francisco’s quarterback room this week.
