Week 7 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em TE analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Philadelphia Eagles’ Dallas Goedert.
Streaming tight ends is a very popular way to play fantasy football. When doing this, though, you are most likely choosing between a couple of players to put into that spot. I am here to help you give an idea of who to choose using players who are in positions to succeed this week. Below, we will help you make those tough decisions in that tight end grey area, discussing our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em players!
Guys like Trey McBride and Tucker Kraft are not going to be covered in this article. Those guys are must-starts no matter who they play on any given week. They are just too good of players to sit. The idea is that we are taking those players who may be sitting on your bench as number two tight ends and making the decision. Get the idea?
Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 7 TEs
Start: Dallas Goedert Fantasy Outlook at Minnesota Vikings
In an offense with Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, it has been Dallas Goedert who has broken out as the touchdown scorer through the air. In the past two games alone, Goedert has totaled 20 targets, per our Opportunity Index. He has scored five touchdowns this season, scoring at least one in each of the last four games. Even with the tush push, Goedert has emerged as the leading candidate for touchdowns in the red zone. With how strong Philadelphia’s offense is, they likely will get to the red zone more often than not. Now, sitting at TE3 on the season, this is the last time that Goedert will probably appear on this list, as he is a lock and load starter at the tight end position.
Start: Harold Fannin Fantasy Outlook vs Miami Dolphins
I have been shouting from the rooftops since the Cleveland Browns drafted him that Harold Fannin is a really good football player and a really good piece for this Browns offense. Playing a role where he is lining up all over the field gives the Browns so much creativity and an ability to bail out Dillon Gabriel in tough situations. Fannin is the perfect player to help a rookie continue developing in the NFL. The Bowling Green alum continues to see a high usage in the offense, playing 66 out of the 82 snaps for the Browns this season. With David Njoku banged up, it appears that Fannin is in line for a big week against a really bad Miami Dolphins defense.

Sit: TJ Hockenson Fantasy Outlook vs Philadelphia Eagles
Even with the absence of Aaron Jones and Jordan Addison this season, TJ Hockenson is not performing up to the standards that fantasy owners are starting him to be. He has recorded more than 39 yards once this season and is sitting at one touchdown. With Jordan Addison back in the lineup, the receiving room in Minnesota becomes a little more crowded. Things don’t get any easier for Hockenson this week, as he takes on a really tough Eagles defense. The Eagles have a fast and strong linebacking corps that should be able to keep up with Hockenson, making Carson Wentz or JJ McCarthy rely on Justin Jefferson and Addison this week.
Sit: Theo Johnson Fantasy Outlook at Denver Broncos
I told you last week to sit Theo Johnson against the Philadelphia Eagles, and I am telling you to do the same again this week. The Giants have another tough defensive matchup, as they take on the Denver Broncos. Denver has been dominant against opposing quarterbacks this season, as their pass rush has been incredible. Recording nine sacks last week, the Broncos should be able to get after Jaxson Dart before he even has the chance to complete a pass to Johnson. The tight end has been so touchdown-dependent this year that if he does not score, he is not going to be considered a starter in fantasy football. He has yet to record 40 receiving yards on the year, and against the Broncos, it is hard to believe that he is going to do it this week.
