Week 7 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em WR analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of New Orleans Saints’ Chris Olave.

With the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens on bye this week, nobody is reading the Week 7 start/sit article due to their wide receivers having a bye week. However, the injuries around the league are ridiculous, with Garrett Wilson, Emeka Egbuka, Puka Nacua, and several other great WRs getting hurt last week. Navigating these injuries can be a pain, but our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em WRs series is here to help you get a win despite the chaos that this week brings.

In this weekly Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article, we will be talking about the WR2/3 grey area, where you may have some tough decisions that will need to be made. Players like Jaxon Smith-Njigba or Ja’Marr Chase will not be discussed. Yes, start them. You drafted them early for a reason, and it’s too early to move away from them! Instead, we are more concerned about the low-end WR2 or WR3 area where a player with a solid matchup should return value that is worth the start, and vice versa.

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out my weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with me and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 7 WRs

Start: Chris Olave Fantasy Outlook at Bears

FantasyPros’ Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) Rank: 19

Zach Brunner’s Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings

Chris Olave has been on a roll this season. He is second in looks per game so far (10.2). Olave averages 95.4 air yards per game while putting up 0.23 fantasy points per snap despite scoring just one touchdown, per our Opportunity Index. This week, he faces a Chicago Bears defense that is not playing well at all. Even though they have given up just 14 passes of over 20 yards this season (tied for sixth in the NFL), they are tied for the third-most yards per pass attempt allowed (7.6). Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks have been more of the deep threats on the New Orleans Saints, so it appears Olave will have a lot of space on intermediate routes.

Olave’s targets have been steady this season as well, seeing double-digit target totals in all but one game. This is a fantastic spot for the Saints to showcase Olave for potential trades, and he has a good chance to find the end zone for the second time this season (Bears have allowed 1.6 receiving touchdowns per game to WRs).

Start: Jameson Williams Fantasy Outlook vs Buccaneers

ECR Ranks: 27

If you haven’t caught on by now, you should be sitting Jameson Williams when he is on the road. However, he is firmly in play when he plays in Ford Field. For his career, Williams has averaged 51.8 receiving yards at home versus 35.9 on the road. This week, he faces a struggling Tampa Bay secondary at home on Monday Night Football.

Expect a lot of fireworks in this game, with two secondaries that look ready to get exposed. The Buccaneers have allowed a whopping 20 passes of over 20 yards already this season. Obviously, Williams is the Lions’ deep threat. This season, he has an average depth of target of 15.9 yards. Look for Jared Goff and Williams to connect on at least one of these deep shots on Monday, making him a “start” in the Week 7 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Sit: Wan’Dale Robinson Fantasy Outlook at Broncos

ECR Rank: 30

While I have been a Wan’Dale Robinson truther for a few years now, and I love everything Jaxson Dart is about, we don’t need to mess with the Denver Broncos’ secondary. We have seen what this Broncos pass rush can do, totaling 30 sacks! Dart has already been banged up this year, so let’s just hope he finishes this game. It does seem poetic for Russell Wilson to finish this game while getting showered with boos from a road fanbase.

Regardless, it will be very tough to pass against the Broncos in Denver. They are the second-best in yards per pass attempt allowed (5.2), and they have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to fantasy WRs per game (25.4). The way to beat the Broncos is to run the ball and utilize the tight ends, so it’s tough to imagine Wan’Dale Robinson finding much consistent success on Sunday. His matchups get better from here, so just be patient.

Sit: Tre Tucker Fantasy Outlook at Chiefs

ECR Rank: 37

While nobody actually treats him like the WR10 in fantasy football, that’s what Tre Tucker technically is through six weeks. We will continue not to treat him like a starting WR in Week 7, as the matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs doesn’t look great.

Jakobi Meyers has a chance to miss this game, while Brock Bowers will likely be out as well. The casuals will say that this means Tucker will see increased looks. The big-brained folk will say yeah, those looks are from the Chiefs’ secondary, as the top talent isn’t next to him to draw attention away. Instead, Tucker will see plenty of coverage from Jaylen Watson and some from Trent McDuffie as well. The Chiefs allow the sixth-fewest fantasy points to WRs per game (28.6), and they are middle-of-the-road in yards per pass attempt allowed. In Arrowhead, look for the pass rush to get after Geno Smith, meaning deep shots to Tucker won’t be there.
