Week 2 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em QB analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.
Some of the names atop the high scorers at the quarterback position were interesting last week. However, it is important not to overreact to what we saw in the first week of action. Trust the good players, and if something surprised you last week, then that could be a good indication to be skeptical. As you will see with the players on my list of Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em QBs below, we are trusting what we know this time around.
To help you with the tough decisions at passer in Week 2 of the NFL season, we have our weekly Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article! No, you will not be hearing about Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. Yes, start them. Who do they play? Doesn’t matter. Instead, we will be talking about the players who may be on the borderline of that starting lineup threshold. They’re not a no-brainer starter. So, depending on the matchup, they could be a start or a sit. Get the format?
Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out my weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with me and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 2 QBs
Start: Drake Maye Fantasy Outlook at Dolphins
Zach Brunner’s Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings
Maye is also capable of a high-volume passing attack, surprisingly! The Patriots passed at the second-highest rate last week (73.5%), resulting in 46 pass attempts. With this type of volume against Miami, he could be a very, very good start this week in fantasy football.
Start: Dak Prescott Fantasy Outlook vs Giants
With CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson and KaVontae Turpin all catching passes, look for Dak Prescott and this passing offense to make a statement after a long week of preparation. In stretches, they looked good against the Eagles last week. There is nothing more beneficial for a team than getting to play a real game, then getting extra time to address issues before Week 2. I expect that to pay off for Dak Prescott and this passing offense against a secondary that isn’t very good.

Sit: Daniel Jones Fantasy Outlook vs Broncos
You may have gotten a bit too excited and picked up Daniel Jones, only to call him “Vanilla Vick” in front of your friends. Your joke probably fell a bit flat, right? Take that as a sign of things to come in Week 2, which is why he sits on this side of the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
I think Jones fits this Colts scheme well, so last week wasn’t necessarily a fluke. What is a fluke were 12 of his points, which came from two rushing touchdowns. On top of that, he plays the best defense in the NFL — the Denver Broncos. Last week, Denver absolutely dominated on defense, giving up the lowest completion percentage in the league (42.9%). They also led the league in sack percentage (17.7%).
Don’t chase last week’s performance. Keep him on your bench.
Sit: Caleb Williams Fantasy Outlook at Lions
The QB9 from Week 1 of the NFL season has a strong chance to carry that second-half momentum, or lack thereof, into Week 2. Ben Johnson is going to be tense this week, as he returns to Detroit. After the way the game against the Vikings ended, you could see Johnson being up Williams’ ass all week, and let’s just say Williams won’t respond to that type of coaching well.
The Lions saw how the Bears responded to pressure on Monday Night Football, and you can bet Aidan Hutchinson and company will bring it on Sunday. Is Williams the worst QB option this week? Absolutely not. However, there are low-owned players with great matchups, higher ceilings, and higher floors than what the Bears quarterback brings. The only thing with Caleb Williams I am confident about is that he will have a message painted on his fingernails, and the people of Detroit likely won’t say kind things about it.
