Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 17 TEs
Start: Chig Okonkwo Fantasy Outlook vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Check out our fantasy football rankings here!
The Tennesee Titans TE will make another appearance on the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article. Chig Okonkwo made a big impact for fantasy players last week with his 19.1 points last week. Okonkwo has scored over 32 points in his last two games, becomming one of the favorite targets for Mason Rudolph. He has taken advantage of favorable matchups in the past and gets another one this week.
The Titans will head south to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags were able to stop Okonkwo the first time around to the tune of three catches and eight yards. That was with Will Levis under center though. The Jaguars also give up the seventh-most points to TEs this season including a 20+ point performance to Brock Bowers last week. Chig Okonkwo isn’t have the same talent as Bowers, but you can still have faith in him. Start Okonkwo this week.
Start: Tyler Conklin Fantasy Outlook vs. Buffalo Bills
The New York Jets TE will be a surprising start this week. Tyler Conklin has not done much since the Jets bye week. Last week though, he gave some hope with five catches and 59 yards for a 10.9 fantasy point total. The Jets season will be over after these next two games and Conklin will need to show that he still belongs so he will try his hardest.
On the flip side of the ball is the Buffalo Bills. The defense is injured very badly at the moment. Matt Milano, Baylen Spector, Damar Hamlin and Taylor Rapp have either missed weeks or have been put on Injured Reserve in the past three weeks. The Bills have been lit up giving up 18.1 points to Sam LaPorta, 13.9 to Hunter Henry and 9.5 to Austin Hooper in the last two games. With the depth of the Bills not there, it is okay to trust Conklin this week.

Sit: Brenton Strange Fantasy Outlook vs. Tennesee Titans
The Jacksonville Jaguars TE will find himself on the sit side of this article. Brenton Strange looked like a good waiver wire pickup going into last weeks game, only for his to get two points against the Las Vegas Raiders. Many teams have dropped him since, but if you still have him don’t start him.
If you need more stats for why you should avoid Strange the Titans have a good defense. The Titans give up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to TEs this year. In the last three games they have given up an average of 6.5 fantasy points per game to Evan Engram, Brenton Strange, MIke Gesicki and Mo Alie-Cox. As before the Titans should stop Strange this weekend.
Sit: Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Outlook vs. New York Jets
The Buffalo Bills tight end’s season will not be getting any better this weekend. Dalton Kincaid has been a letdown this season as he is TE24 on the year. One of the biggest fantasy busts this season. Kincaid has had seven targets and four catches in each of the last two games. Kincaid will have a tough assignment again this week.
The New York Jets have not been great this year, but the defense has been pretty good at covering the TEs. The Jets have given up the 10th-fewest points to TEs this season. An average of 10.63 points per game. Kincaid did get 11 points in the first matchup, but with the Bills saying they aren’t showing their hand until the playoffs the Bills might not utilize him until then. Bench Kincaid on Sunday.
