The fantasy football playoff progresses to Week 16, and your matchup will get a little bit tougher. There is no room for error this week, which may lead to plenty of questions when creating a starting lineup. To know who to start this week, keep reading for our Week 16 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em, including the Jets’ Garrett Wilson.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb. However, the WR2 and WR3 positions are a bit more fluid, causing some tough decisions to be made. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 16 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at WR.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 16 WRs

Start: Garrett Wilson Fantasy Outlook vs Commanders

Last week was tough for Garrett Wilson fantasy football owners. However, if you survived, or if you are playing DFS, Wilson looks to be a good play against the Washington Commanders.

Washington is terrible against fantasy WRs, giving up the second-most points to the position this season. Obviously, the Jets’ biggest weakness is their offensive line. Luckily, the Commanders have the third-worst sack percentage in the league over the past three weeks (3.23%). This should give New York time to throw the ball to Garrett Wilson downfield, making him a “start” in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Start: Adam Thielen Fantasy Outlook vs Packers

Adam Thielen faces a familiar foe this weekend, as the Carolina Panthers play the Green Bay Packers. Not only was Thielen a long-time member of the Vikings, but he is also a Minnesota-born man who has grown up hating the Packers. He also owns a company in Green Bay, so there are plenty of ties to this week’s opponent.

However, that’s not the biggest reason to start him. The Packers have decided it is best to cover slot receivers with their inside linebackers. The result? Well, look at Chris Godwin and David Moore last week. The Packers have given up 8.5 yards per pass attempt over the past three weeks as well, which is the second-worst in the league. Look for more of the same from them, leading to a solid week for Adam Thielen.

Sit: Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook at Jets

I couldn’t hate Terry McLaurin more this week. Last week, he was featured in the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em as a sit, and he continued to be a letdown as he has been all season long. However, once Sam Howell was benched, McLaurin began to be targeted, resulting in his first 100-yard game of the season.

Unfortunately, Howell returns to the huddle as the starter this week, and it’s against the New York Jets. Not only will he not be targeted much, but the Jets surrender just 24.2 fantasy points to WRs this season. That makes them the toughest matchup by far. Sit Terry McLaurin or straight-up cut him, if you want to bait someone else into playing him this season. Don’t be the fool to chase last week’s performance.

Sit: Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy Outlook at Falcons

While he is trending towards playing after exiting last week with an injury, you may want to sit Michael Pittman Jr. this week. Both the Colts and Falcons want to run the football. This means there is a strong chance Pittman sees fewer snaps and possessions, due to the clock continuing to tick.

On top of that, the Falcons’ secondary has been playing well. Over the past three games, Atlanta has held opponents to a 56% completion rate (fifth-best) and 5.4 yards per pass attempt (seventh-best). For the season, the Falcons have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to WRs. He is far from a must-sit, but you may have a better option than Michael Pittman Jr. in Week 16.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
