Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 16 RBs

Start: J.K. Dobbins Fantasy Outlook vs. Falcons

In his first two games back, J.K. Dobbins has put up 120 and 125 yards each of his last two games. He has 18.0 and 13.8 fantasy points in these games and another nice matchup on deck with the Atlanta Falcons, who are allowing 20.9 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing RBs on the season. He has done this with 15 and 14 touches. Dobbins should get that volume again and is a solid RB2 start for your Week 16 matchup.

Start: Latavius Murray Fantasy Outlook vs. Rams

Both of these disappointing teams are just riding out the season, so look for Latavius Murray to continue to get fed the ball early and often. He is a solid RB2 against the Rams defense, which is a shell of what it was earlier in the season and was just gouged by Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon of the Green Bay Packers. Murray is a surefire start this week in this Week 16 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em article.

Sit: Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson Fantasy Outlook vs. 49ers

When you are in the playoffs, it goes without saying that you want to find the most advantageous spots for your players to do well. This is the exact opposite scenario, against the San Francisco 49ers who are holding opposing RBs to only 13.1 fppg. With both Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson splitting the backfield work in a tough matchup, you will want to look elsewhere for your RB2 this week.

Sit: Royce Freeman and Dare Ogunbowale Fantasy Outlook vs. Titans

With Dameon Pierce on IR, the Houston Texans split their RB touches between Royce Freeman (11 carries and one reception) and Dare Ogunbowale (eight carries). Neither was able to accomplish much with their touches. This week, they get a tough matchup with the Tennessee Titans, who are holding opposing RBs to 16.6 fppg. This is another backfield to avoid, with both backs splitting the work and a terrible matchup. Leave both on your bench this week.
