Week 16 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em TE analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of the Miami Dolphins’ Darren Waller.

As we reach the semi-finals of the fantasy football playoffs, you are probably in a spot where you have your team pretty much set. One issue that could arise is at the tight end position. If you are in a situation where you don’t have a solid tight end, this could be another week to stream. Streaming tight ends is a very popular way to play fantasy football. When doing this, though, you are most likely choosing between a couple of players to put into that spot. I am here to help you give an idea of who to choose using players who are in positions to succeed this week. Below, we will help you make those tough decisions in that tight end grey area, discussing our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em players!

Guys like Trey McBride and Travis Kelce are not going to be covered in this article. Those guys are must-starts no matter who they play on any given week. They are just too good of players to sit. The idea is that we are taking those players who may be sitting on your bench as number two tight ends and making the decision. Get the idea?

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner, and other members, where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 16 TEs

Start: Darren Waller Fantasy Outlook vs Cincinnati Bengals

Coming into the season, it felt like Darren Waller was an afterthought. And through three weeks, it seemed like that was the case. Waller then came through and turned things around, registering two top-five weeks at the position. It all came crashing back to earth, though, as inconsistent play and injuries hampered Waller’s regular season. That was until last week when Waller found the end zone twice. With six touchdowns on the season, he looks like a real “start” in the Week 16 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Darren Waller fantasy owners could see another great game, as the Miami Dolphins take on a poor Cincinnati Bengals defense. The Bengals have been historically bad against the tight end position this season. They are giving up 14.5 fantasy points per game to TEs. That includes 1,276 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns on the season. With the Dolphins featuring Waller so heavily in the red zone and Mike McDaniel knowing how to use the tight end successfully, Waller is in line for another big week.

Start: Dallas Goedert Fantasy Outlook vs Washington Commanders

After basically being counted out for fantasy football purposes five weeks ago when the Eagles were in the midst of a three-game losing streak, Dallas Goedert has had a season resurgence. He has back-to-back weeks of finishes higher than TE8, which includes a two-touchdown performance last week against Las Vegas. Despite playing alongside players such as AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley, it appears that Goedert is the go-to option in the red zone. Given the injuries on the offensive line, the Eagles have pivoted from the run game to the short-pass game, which fits Goedert to a tee.

Goedert will continue with another good week as the Eagles take on the Washington Commanders this week. The Commanders have been bad against opposing tight ends this season, as they are giving up 10.1 fantasy points per game to the position. With giving up 905 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns allowed to tight ends, the Commanders are second to the Bengals in most fantasy points given up to tight ends.

Sit: Hunter Henry Fantasy Outlook vs Baltimore Ravens

Even in a loss to the Buffalo Bills last week, the Patriots still look like one of the better teams in the NFL this season. To start the year, Hunter Henry was a big part of that offense. Outside of a TE1 finish in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Henry has not been great for your fantasy team. At this point in the fantasy season, you are probably winning games in spite of his performances, so moving him to the bench or even dropping him this week is certainly in the cards.

Much of that has to do with the Patriots taking on the Baltimore Ravens this week. After starting the season as one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Ravens have really turned things around. One thing that has stuck for the majority of the season, though, has been their ability to limit opposing tight ends. On the season, the Ravens are giving up just 5.1 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. That includes just 661 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns this year. If you are someone who has been starting Henry, look elsewhere as you make a push for a championship.

Sit: Dalton Schultz Fantasy Outlook vs Las Vegas Raiders

Recently, there has not been a more confusing player than Dalton Schultz when it comes to fantasy production. Over his last three weeks, Schultz has finished as TE13, TE23 and TE7, meaning he was startable in one week, not startable in another week, and he was iffy in the other week. Owned in just 47% of Sleeper Fantasy Football leagues, seeing someone who just finished as TE7 available on the waiver wire is tempting to pick up, especially if you are streaming tight ends. While the temptation is there, I am telling you to pick a different direction this week.

The Raiders have been very bad this season in most facets of the game, but one thing has worked for them. They have been solid at limiting opposing tight ends. On the season, the Raiders are giving up just 5.4 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. That includes giving up a total of 561 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. The Texans’ offense has evolved to include more than just one target. With a number of targets on the offense, as well as a strong defense against tight ends, Schultz is a must-sit in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.
