The fantasy football playoffs are here, and the injuries to the wide receiver position seem to be picking up. This can leave you shorthanded and scrambling to field a starting lineup. That is where we come in, helping you with this Week 15 WR Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb. However, the WR2 and WR3 positions are a bit more fluid, causing some tough decisions to be made. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 15 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at WR.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 15 WRs

Start: Zay Flowers Fantasy Outlook at Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t even attempted to play an NFL defense over the past two weeks. They sit back in zone and get picked apart. Jacksonville has given up 300+ passing yards in three straight weeks, and the quarterbacks they faced were CJ Stroud, Jake Browning and Joe Flacco. Lamar Jackson is going to eat this defense alive.

If the Jaguars decide to sit back in zone coverage once again, and they have given us every indication this is likely, then the Ravens’ receivers are going to have a great day. Of course, this includes the sensational rookie Zay Flowers, who has continued to improve as the season has gone along. Flowers has finished as a top-10 fantasy football WR in back-to-back games, seeing a total of 18 targets in these games. Fire him up for the fantasy football playoffs. He is clearly a “start” in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Start: Tyler Lockett Fantasy Outlook vs Eagles

The matchup this week couldn’t be better for Tyler Lockett. The Philadelphia Eagles surrender the most fantasy points to WRs by a wide margin. If DK Metcalf draws the top coverage more often than not, then it could mean a huge performance for Lockett. We saw this a few weeks ago with Gabe Davis, as he totaled 105 yards and a touchdown.

Last week, Tyler Lockett totaled six catches for 89 yards. This was without Geno Smith. While Drew Lock played well, the return of Geno Smith should mean great things for this offense, given the matchup. Week 15 feels like the perfect time for Tyler Lockett’s first 100-yard game of the season.

Sit: Calvin Ridley Fantasy Outlook vs Ravens

The increased usage of Calvin Ridley has not led to increased fantasy football value. Ridley has seen 21 targets and three carries over the past two games. Yet, he has totaled just eight receptions for 86 total yards.

Ridley is an outside receiver whose best skill set is attacking defenses downfield. However, the inconsistent play of Trevor Lawrence combined with the matchup against the Baltimore Ravens has Ridley labeled as a “sit” in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em. Baltimore should bounce back from last week’s performance and defend downfield well, hurting the potential for Ridley’s fantasy value.

Sit: Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook at Rams

Terry McLaurin continues to showcase why he should not be the WR1 on a team. He’s not a mismatch for any defense, despite so many NFL fans continuing to think of him as “Scary Terry” because of the first three games of his career. The fact of the matter is that he is not a good fantasy football wide receiver, as shown by his WR37 rank despite playing every game.

So, while I believe in Sam Howell this week, McLaurin should likely not be in your starting lineup. The rest of the season doesn’t look great either, with matchups against the Jets and 49ers next. While it may initially sound crazy, Terry McLaurin does not need to be owned in fantasy football at this point in the season.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
