Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 15 WRs

Start: Christian Watson Fantasy Outlook vs. Rams

Since Week 10, Christian Watson has been the number one fantasy WR, averaging 24.8 PPR fantasy points per game (fppg). Over that stretch, he has eight touchdowns, and has scored in each game, with over 90 all-purpose yards in three of them. On the season, the Los Angeles Rams are allowing 29.0 fantasy points to opposing WRs, so this is by no means an imposing matchup either. If you have Christian Watson, you have to start him with the tear that he is on. His upside is immense and his floor looks like it is in the double digits as well.

Start: Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy Outlook vs. Vikings

Michael Pittman Jr. was on a nice stretch, with double-digit fantasy points in three straight games prior to being held to two catches for 16 yards against the Dallas Cowboys. Now, he gets a great matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, who are giving up an average of 34.1 fppg to opposing WRs. Pittman has been streaky this year so, if you have a more consistent option, that would be a better route. If not, he should finish the week in the WR2 range.

Sit: Marquise Brown Fantasy Outlook vs. Broncos

With Kyler Murray going down with a season-ending ACL injury, the entire Cardinals offense will take a step back. Colt McCoy is probably a nice man who is loved by his mother and family, but a dynamic playmaking presence at QB he is not. Now, add in a difficult matchup against the Denver Broncos, who are giving up a league-low 21.1 fppg to opposing WRs, and you have to sit Marquise Brown this week. If you have DeAndre Hopkins, you probably have to start him, but that would be the only WR from the Cardinals to play this week.

Sit: Mike Evans Fantasy Outlook vs. Bengals

Mike Evans has not cracked WR2 or above territory since Week 8, with five or fewer catches in each game. He also hasn’t scored since Week 4. It is tough to trust him at this point in the season, and the Cincinnati Bengals are one of the better defenses against WRs, giving up only 23.3 fppg (fourth-fewest in the NFL). While you might not have better options on your bench, just be forewarned that you are not likely to get a WR2 performance this week from Evans. Leave him on your bench if at all possible.
