The elite quarterbacks, like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, will not be mentioned. Yes, start them. Who do they play? Doesn’t matter. Instead, we will be talking about the players who may be on the borderline of that starting lineup threshold. These are the players that you are debating on starting, or are sitting as QB2s on your bench. So, depending on the matchup, they could be a start or a sit. Make sense?

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 15 QBs

Start: Jaxson Dart Fantasy Outlook vs Washington Commanders

After a tough matchup and a bad fantasy day from Jaxson Dart last week against a really good New England Patriots defense, he is in position for a major get-back game. Before he was forced to miss two games with a concussion, Dart had registered five weeks of QB3, QB3, QB13, QB7 and QB3 finishes. While much of that had to do with his rushing ability, Dart’s passing game is being underrated. Over that five-game stretch, Dart threw for seven touchdowns. So while New York would theoretically like to limit his rushing, it is not like he has been bad at passing the ball.

That brings us to this week as the Giants take on the Washington Commanders. As what seems to be a familiar story, the Commanders have struggled to stop opposing quarterbacks. This season, quarterbacks are averaging 22.8 fantasy points per game against Washington. That includes giving up 3,392 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns on the season. I am not totally convinced that Dart won’t run the ball, but if he is not what we know him to be in the run game, his passing ability will be on full display this week.

Start: Brock Purdy Fantasy Outlook vs Tennessee Titans

Since Brock Purdy returned to the starting lineup for the San Francisco 49ers, he has been average, to say the least. Purdy was able to register one top-10 finish, as he finished the week as QB6 against a mid Arizona Cardinals pass defense. He then saw two tough matchups against Carolina and Cleveland. In that stretch, Purdy has thrown for five touchdowns, but has also thrown for three interceptions. Purdy is healthy now, and so are George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey, two of the biggest weapons in the entire NFL.

This week, the 49ers and Purdy take on the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have struggled against opposing passers this season. Tennessee has given up 21.5 fantasy points per game to opposing passers. That includes 3,196 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns this season. Purdy is set up to have a great fantasy week this week. Last week, we saw Shedeur Sanders finish as QB2 for the week. With Kittle and McCaffrey, Purdy has enough ammo to put up a similar performance this week.

Sit: Jordan Love Fantasy Outlook vs Denver Broncos

Jordan Love certainly earned his pinstripes for the Green Bay Packers, as one of the most important parts about being the quarterback for the Packers is beating up on the Chicago Bears. As has been the case with Love all season long, when it comes to fantasy football production, he has either been really good or un-startable. And a lot of that is due to the matchup in front of him. He has four top-eight finishes this season, but he also has four bottom-24 finishes. While I think moving forward Love is a fine option, he is my number one sit in the Week 15 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Even with a healthy receiving corps, outside of Tucker Kraft, sitting Love this week is solely due to the matchup against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos probably have the best defense in the NFL and have been incredible against opposing passers. This year, they are giving up just 15 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. In fact, they have given up just 2,849 passing yards and 13 passing touchdowns to quarterbacks. With Love matching up against Denver, look a different direction for the first round of your fantasy playoffs.

Sit: Jacoby Brissett Fantasy Outlook vs Houston Texans

It is no secret that Jacoby Brissett has been a revelation for fantasy managers ever since he took over the starting role for the Arizona Cardinals this season. Even without Marvin Harrison Jr. for a majority of those games, Brissett has finishes of QB7, QB12, QB10, QB10, QB4, QB8, QB9 and QB12. The issue, though, is that those performances have come against some mediocre defenses. If you have been rolling with Brissett, it might be time to find a different quarterback this week, as the Cardinals take on the Houston Texans.

In a similar vein to the Denver Broncos, the Texans have been incredible against opposing passers this season. The Texans are giving up just 12.5 fantasy points per game to opposing passers, which is far and away the best mark in the NFL this season. They have given up just 2,514 passing yards and 12 touchdowns this season. On top of that, Houston has been great at turning opposing quarterbacks over. They have come away with 14 interceptions through 14 weeks of the season. As I stated before, if you have been riding Brissett this season, look elsewhere, as I am petrified of this Texans defense.
