Week 15 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em RB analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Aaron Jones of the Minnesota Vikings.

For many, this is the first week of the fantasy football playoffs! If you do not have the luxury of a first-round bye, no worries, I’m here to help you progress to next weekend. It won’t be easy, given the weather changes and the running back position being inconsistent across the board. Knowing who to start (and who to sit) can be an absolute mess, but that’s why we’re gathered here today. Let’s go to fantasy football church!

December 11, 2025

In this weekly Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article, we will be talking about the RB2/Flex grey area, where you may have some tough decisions that will need to be made. I am not here to tell you to start Travis Etienne or Derrick Henry. Yes, they have good matchups and should be in your lineup, but that would be such a lazy article. Instead, we will dive into that grey area and discuss the player you may truly have questions about!

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out my weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with me and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 15 RBs

Start: Aaron Jones Fantasy Outlook at Cowboys

FantasyPros’ Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) Rank: 27

Zach Brunner’s Week 15 Fantasy Football Rankings

*I’VE PLAYED THESE GAMES BEFORE*

Aaron Jones is playing the Dallas Cowboys, in AT&T Stadium, in his home state? You bet; I have to feature Jones in the Week 15 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em! As a Packer fan who deeply misses Jones in Green Bay, seeing a game against the Cowboys for him is nearly as fun as seeing Aaron Rodgers face the Chicago Bears.

In his four career games against the Cowboys (including playoffs), Aaron Jones has totaled 603 yards and nine touchdowns. Let that sink in for a second… Yes, we are about to strike gold in the first round of the fantasy football playoffs.

This season, the Cowboys have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to RBs and the sixth-most yards per carry (4.7). They have allowed the second-most receiving yards to RBs this year as well (626), which is an area where Jones thrives. You may have the ability to play Jones in your Flex given your overall roster. Play him wherever, and let’s have some fun.

Start: Woody Marks Fantasy Outlook vs Cardinals

ECR Ranks: 19

Yes, Woody Marks was absent from practice on Wednesday. However, this is what happened last week before he went on to play 87% of the snaps. Also, yes, Marks will leave this game injured and freak you out, but he will immediately return as if nothing happened and play well, especially in this great matchup.

Woody Marks gets to face a struggling Arizona Cardinals defense, and he could see another heavy workload with Nick Chubb possibly being out. The Cardinals have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to RBs and 4.5 yards per carry this season. However, they have been much worse lately, allowing 5.3 yards per carry over their past three games.

So, from an efficiency standpoint, the Cardinals have been bad. That is great news for Marks, who should touch the ball a lot. Per my Opportunity Index, Marks ranks eighth in RB looks per game over the past four weeks (21.3), and he has gotten the fifth-most red zone looks over that time (4.8). Seeing him total 100 yards and a touchdown is very realistic in Week 15.

Sit: Rico Dowdle Fantasy Outlook at Saints

ECR Rank: 23

Rico Dowdle may be a big reason why you have enough wins to be alive competing in your league’s playoffs. However, I don’t know how you can trust your season to him, given the past few weeks. So, I think Dowdle is unfortunately a “sit” in the Week 15 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Chuba Hubbard is back in control of the backfield in Carolina. In Week 13, Dowdle played just 42% of the snaps, and he hasn’t scored a touchdown in three straight weeks. Coming off a bye week, one would hope he is rested and ready for a late-season push. As of Wednesday, he hasn’t even practiced. There really isn’t much to feel good about here. This includes the matchup.

Yes, the New Orleans Saints are bad, so the Panthers should be in a position to run the ball. However, that has been the case for nearly every team against the Saints, and they have held up well. New Orleans has allowed the 15th-most fantasy points to RBs and the 19th-most yards per carry. So, it is an average matchup (at best), and Rico Dowdle’s role appears to be shrinking while he is banged up. Sit or drop him.

Sit: D’Andre Swift Fantasy Outlook vs Browns

ECR Rank: 26

Once again, we have a matchup against a bad team, but they feature a defense that keeps opposing RBs in check. This week, the Chicago Bears face the Cleveland Browns, and I am not a fan of D’Andre Swift at all. In a game with a 38.5-point projected total, there are very few players I want to start overall.

This should be a game the Bears can win before playing the Packers again next week. Chicago is likely leading in this game, or the score is very close. So, the Bears can be conservative and run the ball a healthy amount. It would serve them better to run the ball with the “thunder” instead of the “lightning” running back, so the projected game script actually favors Kyle Monangai over Swift a bit in a game that has less importance than future matchups.

On top of the projected game script, the Browns’ defense is really damn good. They are only slightly above average in terms of fantasy points allowed, but they have given up just 3.8 yards per carry this season, which is tied for the second-best in the NFL. D’Andre Swift appears to be a low-ceiling, low-floor option this week, which is something you should try to avoid in the fantasy football playoffs.
