Week 14 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em WR analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.
This is likely the final week of your fantasy football regular season, so now is not the time to mess things up! Construct your roster with a fantasy championship in mind, but don’t forget about getting the win this week as well, if you have something to compete for!
In this weekly Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article, we will be talking about the WR2/3 grey area, where you may have some tough decisions that will need to be made. Players like Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will not be discussed. Yes, start them. You drafted them early for a reason! Instead, we are more concerned about the low-end WR2 or WR3 area where a player with a solid matchup should return value that is worth the start, and vice versa.
Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out my weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with me and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 14 WRs
Start: Justin Jefferson Fantasy Outlook vs Commanders
Zach Brunner’s Week 14 Fantasy Football Rankings
This season has been so bad for Justin Jefferson fantasy owners that you have really been considering whether or not to start him over the past month. And if you made the decision to sit him, you would have been correct. However, we will kick off the Week 14 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em by saying to start Jefferson with confidence for the first time in a long time! In Half PPR scoring, Jefferson has been a top-20 WR just three times since Week 1, with the last time being Week 9. However, he will be an asset to you this week.
He gets a tremendous matchup against a Washington Commanders team that just revived the Broncos’ passing game, allowing Bo Nix to pass for over 100 yards. The Commanders have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season. They have also allowed by far the most yards per pass attempt this season (8.2 yards), and they have an atrocious 3.85% sack rate over the past three games. If they struggle to get a pass rush yet again, we could see JJ McCarthy play the best game of his young NFL career (low bar).
Start: Christian Watson Fantasy Outlook vs Bears
Obviously, the lack of a pass rush means long-developing routes have a chance to get open, and this works perfectly in favor of Christian Watson. Per my Opportunity Index, Watson has averaged 6.8 looks per game over the past four weeks, along with an 18.31-yard average depth of target. Look for the Packers to convert on at least one of these big downfield shots to Watson, and he has proven he can score in the red zone as well. With 45+ yards in every game this season, Christian Watson is a high-floor, high-ceiling fantasy football play in Week 14.

Sit: Deebo Samuel Fantasy Outlook at Vikings
With Terry McLaurin back in the lineup, Deebo Samuel is no longer the top dog in the Washington Commanders’ offense. Combined with a bad matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, you should find a better option than Deebo.
The Vikings blitz at the highest rate in the league once again, and this has caused issues for opposing passing games. Minnesota has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to WRs this season, at 25.9 per week in PPR scoring. In their last three games, they have allowed 5.2 yards per pass attempt, which is tied for the fourth-fewest in the league over this span. It looks to be a low-floor, low-ceiling week for Deebo Samuel.
Sit: Quentin Johnston Fantasy Outlook vs Eagles
Quentin Johnston started the season so well, earning the trust of many fantasy owners. Those same fantasy owners have desperately been looking for a reason to trust him again, but we will end this Week 14 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em by warning you not to fall into the trap. Yes, he scored a touchdown last week to save his fantasy day, but please do not chase this performance.
In Half PPR scoring, Quentin Johnston has been a top-25 WR just once since Week 4. This doesn’t even include his touchdown performance last week, due to him only having 23 yards. This week, Justin Herbert is planning to play, but there is a chance he will miss after having surgery on his non-throwing hand. Given that the game is on Monday Night Football, we may not know his status until late. The fact that the game is against the Eagles also adds to him being a “sit.” Philadelphia needs a bounce-back performance, and the matchup has the second-lowest projected total of the week (40.5). Go ahead and drop Johnston.
