Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 12 WRs

Start: Ladd McConkey Fantasy Outlook vs Baltimore Ravens

The rookie out of the University of Georgia will be a start this week. Ladd McConkey has been a good play for fantasy players this season. McConkey has scored more than 10 fantasy points in three of the last four games as he has taken advantage of the not-so-deep wide receiver room for the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers will host the Baltimore Ravens this week. The Ravens have given up the most points to receivers and the fifth-most points to slot receivers. Eight wide receivers have gained over 20 points against the Ravens’ defense this season as well. The Ravens’ defense has not been itself this year either, giving up the most touchdowns to opposing receivers. McConkey will be a good sneaky play and is a sure start this week.

Start: Mike Evans Fantasy Outlook vs New York Giants

A returning Mike Evans should be in your lineup assuming he is good to go. Evans was injured in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7. Four weeks later, and he is back on track to play on Sunday. He practiced Monday and if all goes well the Bucs will get a big name back this week.

The New York Giants have given up the 14th-fewest fantasy points to WRs this season. That is a pretty good number, but one of their cornerbacks will be shadowing Evans. The projected man to shadow Evans will be Deonte Banks. Banks has given up 16.2 fantasy points per game against the receivers that he has covered this season. Evans, if healthy, should provide a boost for your team because of this.

Sit: Courtland Sutton Fantasy Outlook vs Las Vegas Raiders

Courtland Sutton has been on a tear ever since his catchless performance in a Week 7 blowout win against the New Orleans Saints. In his last four games, he is averaging 18.55 fantasy points. Why is he a sit for us then, it’s because he plays the Las Vegas Raiders. In the first matchup between these two teams in Week 5, Sutton was only able to go for two receptions and 32 yards for 5.2 fantasy points.

The Raiders also give up the seventh-fewest points to receivers this season and that goes down to the fourth-fewest against receivers on the perimeter. The Raiders passing defense is doing their job this season unlike most of the rest of the team. Only three receivers (Zay Flowers, Diontae Johnson and Tyreek Hill) have scored over 15 points against this team. Sutton looks like he will be shut down again.

Sit: CeeDee Lamb Fantasy Outlook vs Washington Commanders

The only great and healthy option for the Dallas Cowboys will be a sit for us in Week 12. CeeDee Lamb put up 18.6 points despite having Cooper Rush play QB. In the two games with Rush under center, Lamb has attained 17 fantasy points for his fantasy owners. Not bad being without Dak Prescott but this week it will get tougher.

The Washington Commanders have changed their identity with Dan Quinn as the head coach. In their last eight games, they have given up the second-fewest fantasy points to receivers. That is also without Marshon Lattimore who still has yet to make his Commanders debut. Lattimore is said to be “…trending in really strong way.” to play this week and help out the Washington defense. Sit Lamb on your bench this week.
