Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 12 WRs

Start: Keenan Allen Fantasy Outlook vs. Cardinals

Keenan Allen looked to be back to his usual self last week in a matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. He hauled in five of eight targets for 94 yards. This week, Mike Williams is going to be out for a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals that has one of the higher totals of the week. Look for Allen to get WR1 target volume from Justin Herbert in a game that has shootout potential. Keenan Allen belongs in your lineup going forward.

Start: Chris Godwin Fantasy Outlook vs. Browns

Since returning from an injury that kept him out in Weeks 2 and 3, Chris Godwin has been in double-digits in PPR points in seven straight games heading into the bye last week. He actually had his best fantasy game to date, with six catches and a touchdown. Look for him to keep it rolling against the Cleveland Browns, who are giving up 27.2 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing WRs. Godwin is a WR2 again, with a safe floor and the ability to hit WR1 status if he can find the end zone.

This fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em suggests Chris Godwin fantasy owners get him in their lineups.

Sit: DJ Moore Fantasy Outlook vs. Broncos

One of the most disappointing WRs in fantasy football this season has been D.J. Moore, who has only had two weeks as a WR1, with both coming with PJ Walker at the helm. With Sam Darnold taking over as starter, there is some hope of production down the stretch. This week, against the Denver Broncos who are allowing only 21.2 fppg to opposing WRs, Moore is a recommended sit unless you are in the direst of situations.

Sit: Brandin Cooks Fantasy Outlook vs. Dolphins

Brandin Cooks, who was a set-it-and-forget-it WR2 option last season, has been another disappointment, as he has not finished a week as a WR2 since Week 4. Since then, he has been the WR69, WR48, WR37, WR51 and WR39. He also missed a week after he asked for a trade. At this point, even in positive matchups, he is not start-worthy as anything more than a flex, having seen an average of six targets over his last five games. Leave Cooks on your bench until he gives you a reason to start him. He is in prove-it mode now.
