Week 12 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em TE analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of the New England Patriots’ Hunter Henry.
Streaming tight ends is a very popular way to play fantasy football. When doing this, though, you are most likely choosing between a couple of players to put into that spot. I am here to help you give an idea of who to choose using players who are in positions to succeed this week. Below, we will help you make those tough decisions in that tight end grey area, discussing our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em players!
Guys like Trey McBride and Travis Kelce are not going to be covered in this article. Those guys are must-starts no matter who they play on any given week. They are just too good of players to sit. The idea is that we are taking those players who may be sitting on your bench as number two tight ends and making the decision. Get the idea?
Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner, and other members, where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 12 TEs
Start: Hunter Henry Fantasy Outlook vs Cincinnati Bengals
Hunter Henry tops our list of the tight ends that you have to start this week, given the incredible matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Things have not been as great as earlier in the season with Henry, as he has not found the end zone since Week 8. The good news for him is that the Bengals have been horrific against the tight end position this season. Tight ends are averaging 14.2 fantasy points per game against Cincinnati. In total, the Bengals have given up 808 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns to tight ends, by far the most in the NFL at each statistic. With Cincinnati needing to stop New England’s run game, look for Henry to be involved as a good short-to-mid target this week.
Start: Chig Okonkwo Fantasy Outlook vs Seattle Seahawks
Chig Okonkwo has not really reached that hype that surrounded him a few years back, and while he will probably never be that set-and-forget about it tight end in fantasy football, I am advising you to give him a look this week. It is no secret that the Titans are probably the worst team in the NFL and don’t have anything solid in their rushing or receiving rooms. Enter Okonkwo, who will be used as a big target over the middle of the field against Seattle’s swarming defense. The matchup works in favor of Okonkwo as well, as the Seahawks are giving up 9.3 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. In total, the Seahawks have given up the second-most receptions on the season to the tight end position.

Sit: Jake Ferguson Fantasy Outlook vs Philadelphia Eagles
This Philadelphia Eagles defense looks strong and mean. They have given up single-digits twice in the last two games, and opposing teams have not scored more than 20 points since October 19. With that strong defense, they have shut down opposing tight ends. Jake Ferguson slots into that situation this week. On the season, the Eagles are giving up just three fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. That includes giving up 292 total receiving yards and just one touchdown. With the return of CeeDee Lamb, Ferguson’s usage has dipped, and he has scored just one touchdown since Week 8.
Sit: Juwan Johnson Fantasy Outlook vs Atlanta Falcons
While Juwan Johnson has been the most constant part of the New Orleans Saints’ offense this season, I advise looking elsewhere this week if possible. There are a lot of things to be sour on the Atlanta Falcons about this season, but their defense against the tight end position is not one of them. On the season, the Falcons are giving up just four points per game to opposing tight ends. That includes giving up just 379 receiving yards and one touchdown. In fact, the Falcons have only given up 32 receptions to opposing tight ends this season, good for second in the entire NFL.
