The running back position this season has been absolutely decimated by injuries. The fantasy football value for many of the healthy RBs is held back by teams taking a committee approach as well. As a result, you may have many questions surrounding your starting fantasy football lineups. That is where we come in, helping you with this Week 12 RB Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week, such as Christian McCaffrey, Austin Ekeler and Travis Etienne. However, the RB2 and Flex positions are a bit more fluid, causing some tough decisions to be made. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 12 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at RB.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 12 RBs

Start: Kyren Williams Fantasy Outlook at Cardinals

The Los Angeles Rams activated Kyren Williams off of IR, and you can feel good about bringing him back to your starting lineup. He is a clear “start” in the Week 12 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em. While he may not see as many of the snaps as he did early in the season in his first week back, he will receive the lion’s share in a great matchup.

The Arizona Cardinals surrender the third-most fantasy points to RBs this season. This includes giving up 158 rushing yards to Kyren Williams the last time he played. With Cooper Kupp injured, Williams moves up the pecking order for usage as well, just like early in the season. Fire him up.

Start: Gus Edwards Fantasy Outlook at Chargers

Someone needs to explain to me why Gus Edwards is ranked RB27 in the FantasyPros’ expert consensus, other than people don’t know what’s going on. Edwards has been a top-10 RB in four of the past five weeks. Sure, Keaton Mitchell is fun for 2-4 plays per game, but it’s pretty clear and obvious that Edwards is the lead back and short yardage back in the Baltimore Ravens offense.

This week, the Ravens face off against the Los Angeles Chargers who surrender the eighth-most fantasy points per game to RBs. The Ravens are going to move the ball, Edwards will get at least 50 yards, and he is going to be the goal-line back to score at least one touchdown in this game.

Sit: Javonte Williams Fantasy Outlook vs Browns

I’m not a big fan of any player facing the Cleveland Browns this season. There is no exception for Javonte Williams this week. The Browns surrender the 10th-fewest fantasy points to RBs, and they give up the fewest yards overall. If the Broncos are struggling to move the ball, this means fewer trips to the red zone from Williams. He isn’t going to rack up enough yards to be a good fantasy play without a touchdown, so he may best be avoided this week.

Sit: Joe Mixon Fantasy Outlook vs Steelers

Following the Joe Burrow injury, I need to see this Cincinnati Bengals offense earn my trust. This includes Joe Mixon, despite the matchup not being terrifying on paper. The offense as a whole is clearly going to be worse, which means fewer trips to the red zone. Fewer trips to the red zone mean Mixon’s touchdown upside is much less, which is why he is in the bottom section of this Week 12 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em. He isn’t an automatic start at this point in the season.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
