I asked you all on Twitter if I should create Week 18 fantasy football rankings. It was surprising to not only see a high number of people answer yes, but the MAJORITY said yes! Either you want to see me do more work, you are utilizing my fantasy rankings for DFS, or you are in a league that plays on Week 18. I respect the first option and using the rankings for DFS is smart. However, if your league’s championship is this week, we need to have a talk.

Week 18 is going to bring all kinds of chaos for fantasy football. There will be several teams resting players while other teams are tanking for a draft spot. Some will prioritize player incentives and milestones over the result of the game! Below, I will have my Week 18 fantasy football rankings, which I will continue to update this week (so bookmark this page). Along with the rankings being posted here, we go LIVE every Wednesday evening on the FlurrySports YouTube channel. We will compare the fantasy football rankings with the rest of the industry experts and also answer your questions, so make sure you subscribe and hang out.

There have been many new readers here this season, and I truly appreciate that you choose me/us to be a fantasy source for you! DO NOT be strangers! If you like our shows, we plan to increase them throughout the offseason. In fact, the rankings are not going away! We have a show called The Ranking Show where we rank anything and everything. Please, join us for that, the FlurrySports Podcast, us playing games on Twitch, and more this offseason!

Hopefully, these fantasy football rankings help to get you the win this week! With creating the best fantasy rankings, editing/writing articles, making videos, and then working another job, we are fueled by pure caffeine this season! If you would like to support the cause by buying me a coffee, I would appreciate it! (I also added a new perk of a full team consultation if you would like!)

Notable Incentives or Milestones in Week 18

In the final week of the season, we will see several teams do right by a player and force them the ball in order to help them achieve some goal. It may be an incentive in their contract, triggering a nice payday. Others may be chasing a milestone, putting themselves in the league or franchise record book.

While there are too many to name, here are a few of the notable incentives or milestones for fantasy football rankings in Week 18 (info from Spotrac).

    Mike Evans

There’s a lot of misinformation out there. I want to kick this off by saying Mike Evans’ contract incentives of $3M for 70 catches, 1,000 Rec Yds and 10 TDs are for next season.

It’s unlikely, but he would receive $2M if he finishes top 10 in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TDs. Evans is, however, 85 receiving yards away from keeping his yearly 1k streak alive.

    Baker Mayfield

Mayfield will receive $500k for each of the following:

    • Top-5 passer rating
    • Top 10 NFL or Top 5 NFC in Completion %
    • Top 10 NFL or Top 5 NFC in Yards/Attempt
    • Improved at Passer Rating, Comp. %, Int. %, Total Yards, Yards/Att, TD Passes AND Top 10 NFL or Top 5 NFC in TD Passes
    • Improved at Passer Rating, Comp. %, Int. %, Total Yards, Yards/Att, TD Passes AND Top 10 NFL or Top 5 NFC in Passing Yards
    Geno Smith

If Geno Smith improves on his 2022 stats, he will receive more money. He would receive $2M for each of the following:

    • 185 passing yards
    • Wins this game
    • Keeps his completion percentage above 69.755% (currently 70.2%)
    Courtland Sutton

Sutton needs 82 receiving yards to receive $500k. He would receive another $200k if he caught three touchdowns and the Broncos won (making the playoffs).

    JK Dobbins

Dobbins needs 58 rushing yards to receive $150k.

    Tony Pollard

Pollard needs 83 rushing yards to receive $250k in his contract. Two more rushing touchdowns would trigger an additional $200k.

    DeAndre Hopkins

Hopkins needs one more receiving touchdown to get an additional $250k. If he caught three touchdowns, it would be an additional $500k.

    Ja’Marr Chase

Joe Burrow says he will feed Ja’Marr Chase the ball this week to ensure he gets the receiving triple crown (season leader in receiving yards, touchdowns and receptions). On top of that, Chase needs one reception to tie the Bengals’ single-season record for receiving touchdowns. His friendly rivalry with Justin Jefferson is also well-documented. Chase would need 11 catches to tie Jefferson’s personal record for most single-season receptions.

    Brock Bowers

Bowers is currently four catches ahead of Malik Nabers for most receptions by a rookie. He will look to hang onto that lead. However, Brock Bowers could chase something even greater in his first season. He needs just eight receptions to tie the single-season tight end record, held by Zach Ertz.

I will publish an article soon defining more of the incentives and milestones that players could hit in Week 18! Until then, please continue supporting us, and consider listening to the latest FlurrySports Podcast episode!

I am a simple Wisconsin man: I love beer and sports. I decided to create FlurrySports because I was sick of the politics and non-stories that the fat cat corporations put out. When you see football articles from me, just know that I combine my knowledge from playing, coaching, athletic training, and sports management/economic courses to give you a unique, but I feel well-rounded point of view. I am always down to talk about anything, so follow me on Twitter @FantasyFlurry if you decide you want more of me!
