The Chicago Bears are looking to completely revamp their offense this offseason, and they made another move to help with this. The Bears made a Keenan Allen trade with the Los Angeles Chargers, sending just a fourth-round draft pick for the veteran wide receiver.

Clearly, the Keenan Allen trade will have a major impact for both teams this season, as well as him individually. So, let’s take a look at the Keenan Allen fantasy football impact for 2024.

Keenan Allen Fantasy Football Outlook Following Trade

For Keenan Allen, this marks a new chapter in his career, as he will not don a Chargers uniform for the first time in the NFL. He now joins the Bears’ stacked roster, which includes the notable names of D’Andre Swift, Cole Kmet and even ex-Charger Gerald Everett. The addition of Allen makes the Bears have one of the top WR duos in the league, as he will be paired with DJ Moore. However, the big question remains, who will be the Bears’ quarterback to distribute the ball to all of these weapons? Will it be Justin Fields or Caleb Williams?

The trade does impact the 2024 Keenan Allen fantasy football outlook just slightly, as he will likely not see the same number of targets that he would have had he stayed with the Chargers. Nonetheless, Allen is still going to be a very-low WR1 to a high-end WR2 and still be reliable, as he has consistently finished as WR15 or higher in PPR scoring since 2017, with the exception of the injury-plagued 2022 season. He’s also averaged 70.9 yards per game in every season since 2017 alongside Mike Williams. Although, you need to be aware of any updates in regard to who the Chicago Bears quarterback will be.

Chargers’ Fantasy Football Impact

There may not be many Los Angeles Chargers fans, but if you know one, comfort them. The Chargers are in a total rebuilding phase, having already lost offensive pieces Austin Ekeler, Gerald Everett and Mike Williams. This just leaves quarterback Justin Herbert as the one offensive star on the Chargers. This means the WR1 duties are currently left to Quentin Johnston, who had a disappointing rookie year full of drops. Although, there is a bright side, as the Chargers do have the fifth overall pick in this upcoming NFL Draft.

If there’s anybody I would want to even look at for fantasy football rosters, it would be quarterback Justin Herbert, and whatever rookie wide receiver they get. If they use the fifth overall pick on wide receiver, then mock drafts show they can get LSU WR Malik Nabers, but that is if they decide to go that way.
