Fantasy football draft rankings for running backs, brought to you by Zach Brunner, one of the industry’s top analysts.

We’re so back! Thank you to everyone who used and enjoyed my fantasy football rankings last season. If you did, then you likely were living well. My fantasy football draft rankings finished in the top 10 of FantasyPros Expert Consensus Rankings. My in-season rankings were also in the top 10 (#Consistency), and both RBs and WRs were top-five in the industry. This season, we’re looking to improve.

Fantasy Football News For 2025 RBs

Texans GM on Joe Mixon: “Once we get through four weeks, we’ll evaluate it at that time. We’ll see, we’ll take it one day at a time.” Doesn’t seem too optimistic.

Brian Robinson Jr. was traded to the 49ers to be the clear RB2 there. Jacory Croskey-Merritt takes over early downs in Washington, while Chris Rodriguez gets some red zone work and Austin Ekeler sees passing downs.

De’Von Achane is said to be good to go for Week 1 following a calf injury. However, still not practicing, one has to wonder if he’ll be 100% and if a flare up could arise this season. I hate lower-body soft tissue injuries.

The Rams’ OC says about his backfield’s touches: “The plan is to split those up a little bit and distribute, whether it’s the run or the pass game.” Kyren Williams could see fewer snaps, while Blake Corum could be more than we thought.

With MarShawn Lloyd returning to IR once again, Josh Jacobs is the only show in town for the Green Bay Packers’ backfield. He will get all of the touches he can handle to start the year. However, either injury or a reduced workload later in the season feels inevitable. (Sell-high candidate in October?)

Javonte Williams continues to see “the most reps” with the Cowboys’ starters. The Cowboys’ offensive line could be one of the best run-blocking units when healthy, and the offense as a whole should be good. The RB1 there, whether it stays Williams or becomes Jaydon Blue, will have value in fantasy.
