Every single Tuesday during August, we will be giving a fantasy football draft ADP update. ADP stands for Average Draft Position. So, we will be looking at the five biggest risers and fallers in fantasy football drafts over the past week.

As the summer progresses, this data will become more accurate, relevant and important. For the third week of August, the fantasy football mock draft data has become much more accurate than in previous weeks.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at the five biggest risers and fallers from the past week in the fantasy football draft ADP for PPR leagues.

5 Biggest Weekly Risers | Fantasy Football Draft ADP

After looking at the fantasy football draft data over the past week, these are the top five risers in the ADP.

  1. K.J. Hamler, WR, DEN — Up 38.6 to 147, WR59 Overall
  2. Parris Campbell, WR, IND — Up 16 to 154.6, WR62 Overall
  3. A.J. Green, WR, ARI — Up 5.9 to 144.1, WR58 Overall
  4. Tennessee Titans DST — Up 4.7 to 155.8, DST15 Overall
  5. Kansas City Chiefs DST — Up 4.3 to 154.1, DST10 Overall

The biggest riser of the week is K.J. Hamler, who returns from injury to an expanded role, since Tim Patrick’s season ended before it began. The coaches have talked up Hamler, and he has looked good. For the people like Field Yates passing around incorrect Courtland Sutton stats about how he led the league in average air yards per target last season, K.J. Hamler actually led the Broncos in this stat. So, if you are looking for a deep threat to pair with Russell Wilson, Hamler could be the sneakier, and certainly cheaper, option between him and Sutton.

Parris Campbell has never had his talent questioned. Simply, we wonder if he can stay on the field. The Colts have a lot riding on the hope he can stay healthy. And if he can, he looks to be the WR2 for the Colts.

After talking about how A.J. Green was the biggest faller in the fantasy football draft data last week for some unknown reason, the data has corrected itself this week. With DeAndre Hopkins out the first six weeks of the season, Green has the opportunity to have an increased workload, and it sounds like he is taking advantage of the opportunity.

There isn’t much to say about these two defenses. It’s surprising to see the Chiefs be drafted as a top-10 unit, but all of the defenses are bunched in this section of the fantasy football draft ADP right now.

5 Biggest Weekly Fallers | Fantasy Football Draft ADP

After looking at the fantasy football draft data over the past week, these are the top five fallers in the ADP.

  1. Ameer Abdullah, RB, LV — Down 40 to 143.5, RB58 Overall
  2. Calvin Ridley, WR, ATL — Down 36.4 to 156, WR64 Overall
  3. Sony Michel, RB, MIA — Down 22.2 to 153, RB61 Overall
  4. Randall Cobb, WR, GB — Down 19.1 to 155.8, WR63 Overall
  5. Michael Gallup, WR, DAL — Down 15 to 118.7, WR48 Overall

To be completely honest, I believe Fantasy Data has an error in their fantasy football ADP data. I don’t see how Ameer Abdullah dropped 40 spots. The only news coming from Las Vegas over the past week is that he is playing the “James White” role for the Raiders, so the only takeaway from this should be where he is being drafted, not the fall.

Obviously, Calvin Ridley is out for the year, so do not draft him. Also don’t draft Sony Michel, who is the RB3, at best, in a mediocre, crammed backfield for the Dolphins. When given the opportunity to prove himself in the preseason, he squandered the opportunity. Ignore Michel in your fantasy football draft, unless he is cut or traded.

Randall Cobb drops as fantasy football owners see rookie Romeo Doubs thriving in Green Bay. There is nothing to take away here. If you’re in a deep league, draft Cobb for his early-season matchup with the Bears, then you can drop him if you wish.

As for Michael Gallup, he is most likely trending downwards because people are realizing he will not be ready to go for Week 1. There is a chance he could miss around a month of the season. If he continues to trend downwards, Gallup could be a nice, sneaky draft pick, especially if stays on the PUP list and you can put him in an IR slot.
