Looking at the three easiest fantasy football strength of schedules for the running back position in 2025.

As the years have come and gone in fantasy football, so have the strategies that people use to try to win their leagues. Lately, the “Zero RB” strategy has come back to relevance, but it feels like it’s run its course. With the running back position playing a pivotal role once again for the 2025 fantasy season, we break down the three best fantasy schedules for running backs.

3 Easiest Fantasy Football Strength of Schedules for RBs

Arizona Cardinals (James Conner/Trey Benson)

I understand it’s hard to trust James Conner. Believe me, I’ve had to for weeks at a time the last few years. With that in mind, he’s been one of the more unappreciated running backs for fantasy for quite some time.

Conner was 15th in looks per game amongst running backs last year. Yet he still finished with just under 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns. He also finished with 57 receptions, which was a career-high. Per touch, Conner also averaged 0.9 fantasy points. This was more than Kyren Williams and Jonathan Taylor.

Injuries are often brought up with James Conner, and he isn’t getting any younger. However, Conner has now played in 13 or more games in each of the last three seasons. With the Arizona Cardinals having the easiest fantasy schedule for running backs, Conner should be primed for another solid year. Even if he does get hurt, Trey Benson would become an incredibly valuable handcuff that you can wait for in the later rounds of your draft. Our draft kit below features RB handcuff rankings, among other great information, to win your fantasy league.

New Orleans Saints (Alvin Kamara)

Out of all the running backs last year, Alvin Kamara was third in looks per game (22.5). The only running backs ahead of him were Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor. While he did only see 2.9 red zone looks per game, he had the most targets amongst running backs (87), with only De’Von Achane (85) having more than 70.

Although Kamara only had eight total touchdowns last year, that looks ready to change. For starters, it’s hard to imagine the Saints quarterback play getting worse. While I understand they still don’t instill confidence in anyone, it would be hard for them to regress. On top of that, the Saints have the second-easiest fantasy schedule for running backs.

With how much Alvin Kamara is involved for the Saints every week, and his touchdown totals having nowhere to go but up, if Kamara can stay on the field, he will certainly have another Pro Bowl-caliber season in him.

Atlanta Falcons (Bijan Robinson/Tyler Allgeier)

Last year, Bijan Robinson finished as a “starter” (Top-25 RB) 81.3% of the time and as a “boom” (Top-6 RB) 31.3% of the time. For our boom/bust data, get the draft kit! This year, he has a better quarterback in Michael Penix, and the Atlanta Falcons have the third-easiest fantasy football strength of schedule for running backs.

All signs point to even more improvement from Bijan Robinson, fantasy-wise, this year as long as he can stay on the field. With his strength of schedule, I have a hard time finding a player who will outperform him this year for fantasy.

Not only does this schedule benefit Bijan, but it makes Tyler Allgeier one of the most coveted handcuffs once again. Yes, it was three years ago, but Allgeier ran for over 1,000 yards in 2022 when he started just seven games. If anything happens to Bijan, their easy schedule quickly vaults Allgeier to RB1 territory this season.

Now that you have more fantasy data for your draft, it’s time for the most important thing. Read our 150 best fantasy football team names here!
