The NASCAR Cup Series continues its season this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway. The one-mile concrete oval will play host to the DuraMAX Drydene 400 on Sunday afternoon. The Cup Series stars will try to tame the Monster Mile, but this is always much easier said than done. When setting your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineup, it’s important to be aware of drivers with successful histories here as opposed to those that “Miles the Monster” typically eats for dinner. Read below to find out who to include and who to avoid with your NASCAR DFS picks this week.

DraftKings NASCAR DFS Overview

In this DraftKings NASCAR DFS picks column, we will be using DraftKings prices and scoring. Their scoring includes the following:

  • .25 points for leading a lap
  • .45 points for the fastest laps
  • Add/subtract a half-point based on the difference in a driver’s finishing position relative to their starting position
  • Points based on where the driver finishes

DuraMAX Drydene 400 Drivers to Consider | DraftKings NASCAR DFS Picks

Martin Truex Jr. ($9,800)

The driver with the best average finish at Dover Motor Speedway is Martin Truex Jr. In his past ten races at his true home track, Truex has a ridiculous average finish of 5.3. The driver of the No. 19 Toyota also has two wins and eight top-5 finishes in the last ten races. Interestingly, Truex has seen a bit of a dip in NASCAR DFS pricing compared to the rest of the top-tier drivers. Hammer down on this pick and put MTJ in your lineup this week.

Kevin Harvick ($9,300)

Kevin Harvick has gone winless in the last 50+ NASCAR Cup Series races, but he is set to come to a track where he has thrived in the past. Harvick has two wins in the last ten races at Dover and owns an 8.9 average finish in those races. The cagey veteran has been above average so far on the year, but to his standards, anything short of collecting trophies is disappointing. Harvick should be able to get some momentum back this week at one of his top tracks. Jump on the horse along with him and put the No. 4 in your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineup.

Kyle Busch ($9,100)

Rowdy Kyle Busch has a very appealing price this week relative to how strong he has run so far this season. Busch is averaging 42.5 DraftKings NASCAR DFS points per race. He is also averaging a 12th-place finish in the last ten races at Dover Motor Speedway. That includes when he tamed the Monster Mile and won in 2017. From the standpoint of momentum, Busch also checks this box. He won the Bristol Dirt Race two weeks ago and scored a surprising top-3 at Talladega last weekend.

Christopher Bell ($8,100)

Christopher Bell does not have a strong track record when it comes to Dover. Despite having multiple Joe Gibbs Racing teammates who are very good at this concrete track, Bell has not yet figured it out. In his three previous Cup Series starts, he has just a 23.3 average finish. That’s hardly ideal when you drive for one of the premier teams in NASCAR. Bell is not one you want in your Draftkings NASCAR DFS lineups on Sunday.

Ty Dillon ($5,900)

Here is a driver that some may want to consider as a cheap NASCAR DFS picks option for this week. Be warned about falling into this trap. Ty Dillon has had decent runs the past few weeks to build some momentum, but Dover is not one of his stronger tracks. Dillon has only finished on the lead lap once in his last nine Cup Series starts at the Monster Mile. While he does have better equipment this season driving for Petty GMS Motorsports, his Dover history is extremely concerning.

Ryan Blaney ($10,300)

Now, this is a bit of a surprise as Ryan Blaney doesn’t run well at the Monster Mile. In his last ten NASCAR Cup Series starts at the track, Blaney has only managed to average a 20th-place finish. Only once over that span has he successfully finished inside the top-10. Those stats don’t exactly suggest that you can bank on Blaney to score many fantasy points this weekend. Add in the steep price point and the No. 12 is best left outside of your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups for the DuraMAX Drydene 400.
