Derrick Henry fantasy football owners can breathe easy, as the Tennessee Titans running back returned to his typical form in NFL Week 2, leading all scorers with 47.7 fantasy points.
This massive Week 2 performance came on the heels of a surprising 10.7-point Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, where Henry averaged 3.4 yards per carry and failed to find the endzone for just the third time dating back to Week 10 of the 2020 season.
Derrick Henry Fantasy Football Outlook Remains Strong
The only player who has been more consistent than Derrick Henry over the last few fantasy seasons has been Christian McCaffrey, thanks in large part to his extensive role in the receiving game. Henry and the Titans’ offense is seemingly out to rectify this, as he has already reeled in nine passes across the last two weeks.
His 200+ all-purpose yards and three rushing touchdowns in Week 2 prove that any potential cliff so many believe Henry is soon going to run off is actually miles down the road.
Henry’s 47.7-point performance catapulted him to the top fantasy football scoring RB, and the fourth-highest scorer in the entire NFL, trailing only Tom Brady, Cooper Kupp and Kyler Murray by very slim margins.
Barring any injury, Derrick Henry should once again finish the year as a top-tier RB for fantasy and should be a main-stay in your starting lineup.
