There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.
Denzel Boston Scouting Report
Strengths
Denzel Boston is a big, rangy wide receiver who has a big catch radius. On top of that, he tracks the ball well and high-points it, helping to make 50-50 balls more in his favor. He has soft hands as well, so drops are not expected to be an issue.
Boston is silky smooth. He looks good in the open field, both opening up and running routes. Once the ball in his hands, the job for the defender only gets tougher, as he is a load to bring down. Nobody accidentally scores 20 touchdowns across two seasons, and scouts hope Boston’s nose for the end zone translates to the NFL as well.
Weaknesses
Boston is not the most athletic wide receiver in this class. His get-off looks good, but then his speed and quickness don’t really go anywhere. As a result, defenders are able to close the gap quickly on him. While he has plenty of skills, Boston may need to be a player who is schemed open rather than thriving regardless of the scheme.
