One of the biggest offseason storylines revolved around the trade of Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. The long-time Green Bay Packers receiver wanted a change of scenery and finds himself sharing the field with his old college teammate in quarterback Derek Carr. With virtually everything changing around him, the Davante Adams fantasy football outlook is an interesting one.

Even as arguably the best wide receiver in the league, can Adams continue to put up the type of numbers he did in Green Bay? More importantly, is he worth where he’s being drafted?

Let’s discuss the Davante Adams fantasy football outlook for 2022, including his stats from 2021 and giving our buy or sell decision that is based on his current average draft position (ADP).

Davante Adams Fantasy Outlook

There is no doubt that Davante Adams will be the top option in the Las Vegas Raiders’ passing attack. The big question will be how much Adams’ production will take a hit from being surrounded by better talent. In Green Bay, Allen Lazard was really the only other consistent producer in the Packers’ passing game. Now in Las Vegas, he will be slotted in with Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller, among others.

The Raiders should be a pass-heavy team, but it seems foolish to expect the same amount of targets as Davante Adams received in Green Bay.

Should I Draft Davante Adams for Fantasy Football?

The Davante Adams fantasy football ADP was taken from Fantasy Football Calculator on August 29th for PPR leagues. The data shows Adams is being taken with the 13th pick in fantasy drafts. At this ADP, Adams seems like a reach. While he will for sure be one of the top receivers in the league, expecting him to hit the WR4 or better he’s being drafted at seems too lofty given the completely new offense. Adams isn’t going to be a bad pick at this spot, but there appears to be more value elsewhere at his current ADP.
