Wednesday was NFL schedule release day, and the Dallas Cowboys officially have their 2021 Schedule.

America’s Team was quick to become the center of discussion after the announcements started to roll in. There was a lot of factors about Cowboys schedule that made people say “wow,” especially after the Cowboys schedule release video dropped. An absolute must-see if you haven’t already (shown below).

The Cowboys have noticeably difficult away opponents this upcoming season. However, the more crucial part of the schedule will come later in the season.

Keep in mind, the regular season was extended by one game so all NFL teams will play 17 games this season instead of the usual 16.

Weeks 1 and 2 | The Bucs and Chargers

The Dallas Cowboys will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to not only kick off their season, but to kick off the NFL regular season.

This is a clear win-win situation for ratings as the 2020 Super Bowl Champions will face America’s Team on September 9, 2021 for Thursday Night Football.

Remember when the Cowboys got flexed last year and it started a whole narrative about their ratings power in the future? Yeah.

A highly anticipated moment for Cowboys fans, as Dak Prescott is expected to make a full return by the start of the season. Speaking of QBs, Tom Brady was quick to respond on Instagram his thoughts.

The Cowboys will, then, travel to Los Angeles where they will play the Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Meaning, the Cowboys will have two consecutive road games until heading back home to AT&T Stadium.

Weeks 3-5 | The Eagles, Panthers and Giants

The Cowboys will play at home for a three-week stretch starting on Week 3 of the schedule. The Cowboys will face the Eagles for their first NFC East division rivalry game of the season for their home-opener. This will, also, be played during Monday Night Football.

Week 4, the Cowboys will play the Carolina Panthers, one again, at Jerry’s World.

As for Week 5, the Cowboys will face yet another division rival against the Giants at home.

Weeks 6-8 | The Patriots, Bye Week, and Vikings

As the Dallas Cowboys 2021 schedule continues on, the Cowboys will travel to New England on Week 6 to play the Patriots.

Following another road game, Dallas will head into their bye week on Week 7. This would usually be seen as an advantage, but might not be the case this season.

The Cowboys will go on to play the Vikings in Minnesota on Week 8, who will have also just come off their bye week during Week 7. Meaning, the bye week might not be much of an advantage for either team time time around. This will be the Cowboys’ first Sunday Night Football game of the season.

Weeks 9-13 | The Broncos, Falcons, Chiefs, Raiders, and Saints

The Boys will head back home on Week 9 to play the Broncos. This could end up being a worrisome game for the Cowboys. Denver is reportedly a potential landing spot for Aaron Rogers if he doesn’t stay in Green Bay.

Week 10 will be an interesting one, as the Cowboys play the Atlanta Falcons. Cowboys’ Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn previously coached in Atlanta for six seasons, so it will be a game that will have a little more fuel in the fire to win, especially at home.

By this point, we should easily see the impact Quinn will have on the defense following last season. We should, also, see just how impactful free agency and the draft selections were during the off-season.

But, if Cowboys fans are dreading any week of the schedule, it will be Week 11. The Cowboys will head to Kansas City to play the Chiefs, who are expected to be Super Bowl contenders once again this upcoming season.

The Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game will back at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. It will be interesting to see Rod Marinelli back at AT&T Stadium for the first time since his departure from the Cowboys in 2020.

Week 13 will kick off a three-week span of away games for the Cowboys, where they will face the Saints in New Orleans.

Weeks 14-18 | Washington, Giants, Cardinals and Eagles

The Cowboys will stay on the road for Week 14, and head into a division-rivalry game against the Washington Football Team. In fact, four of the next five games will be crucial for Dallas, as they are divisional games.

Week 15, the Boys are heading to New York for their final matchup with the Giants for the regular season.

The Cowboys will then head back to Dallas on Week 16 to face the Washington Football Team for the second time within a two-week span. Showing again how crucial the last few weeks of the schedule will be for them. This will be the Cowboy’s final Sunday Night Football game of the season.

Dallas will get a slight break from NFC East components on Week 17 as they play the Cardinals at home.

But, this break won’t last too long as they Cowboys will close out the regular season in Philly against the Eagles. Proving exactly why the last stretch of the Dallas Cowboys 2021 Schedule will be a key part of determining their post-season fate.
