Christian Barmore Draft Profile

Strengths

Christian Barmore is a beast of a human who elevates his play in big moments. He totaled 12 pressures and eight stops in the CFP alone. Barmore shows a bit of finesse from the interior line position. Combined with his arm length and premier hand talent, he can be a pass rusher in the middle of the defense. He also has the power to press and shed linemen in the run game.

Weaknesses

While Barmore came to play in the CFP, there were other times when he simply blended in. Against Florida and Tennessee, for example, he didn’t tally one pressure. He also doesn’t have a massive amount of tape, since he only started one season. It’s also worth noting that Barmore played on a stacked team that featured weapons to draw attention away from him. This may or may not be the case at the next level, and we do not know how his game/mentality will adjust.
