Despite their inconsistent play all season, it should have been clear to anyone paying attention that the Chiefs can win any game they want to win. I expect the Chiefs to test the Buccaneers’ secondary with deep shots to Tyreek Hill early to open things up for Travis Kelce later in the game. Tampa Bay may have a great defense, but Tom Brady has a long history of slow starts in Super Bowls. The Bucs will win the second half, but it will not be enough to keep up with the Chiefs’ red-hot offense.
Prediction: Chiefs 37, Buccaneers 27

The Chiefs are on the verge of repeating as Super Bowl champs. They are led by the best QB in the game today and will take care of business against the G.O.A.T. and the Buccaneers. The Chiefs are the best team in the league and have looked like they were just waiting to get back to this point all season. The Bucs may have home field advantage, but this is a step up in class for them. I expect Patrick Mahomes to put on a clinic throughout on his way to Super Bowl MVP honors. For my long-shot exacta prop pick, look for Tom Brady to come up just a bit short on an INT pass to Tyrann Mathieu on the final drive.
Prediction: Chiefs 31, Buccaneers 24

This rematch will be similar to the first game I believe. The only exception is I don’t think Tyreek Hill will go over 100 yards receiving. The Chiefs win but I don’t think they cover as 3.5-point favorites.
Prediction: Chiefs 31, Buccaneers 29

I see this game playing out a little closer than the score indicates but it’ll feel like more of a blowout than it is. Tampa Bay will be able to slow down the Kansas City offense more than the last time they met but it won’t matter. Stopping Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce after they ran wild on them last time is a near-impossible task with no personnel changes. Tom Brady will throw a late pick that the Chiefs will take advantage of and score for the Super Bowl LV dagger. Mahomes and the Chiefs will repeat for the first time since Brady in ‘03-’04.
Prediction: Chiefs 37, Buccaneers 23

I think it’ll be a close game throughout, but the reigning Super Bowl champions should come out on top. I think the Bucs will do a better job this time around of handling all of the Chiefs’ weapons, but there’s only so much they can do defensively. The Chiefs can win any game no matter who’s on the other side of the ball so long as Patrick Mahomes is under center.
Prediction: Chiefs 35, Buccaneers 27

The Chiefs are really hurting, especially on the offensive line. They will be starting two backup offensive tackles against two Tampa pass rushers that wrecked havoc in Green Bay. However, Andy Reid knows they need to get the ball out quickly, they have the weapons to do it and it’s exactly how you beat this Tampa defense. Yes, they will be battling the refs, but I think that added element will only keep the game close and “interesting.”
Whichever team has the more effective second downs in the game will be the victor, and I trust that to be the most dangerous offensive team in the league.
Prediction: Chiefs 27, Buccaneers 23

In a lot of ways, the matchup feels somewhat similar to last year’s Chiefs-49ers battle in Super Bowl LIV. The common denominator, of course, is Kansas City. Like San Francisco last year, the Buccaneers bring a formidable defense to the table. Points will be scored, but I don’t think it will be quite as many as most are expecting. I expect that both offenses will take a few series to hit their stride which will keep the game close through much of the first half. When things do heat up, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will prove themselves to be superior to Brady and the Buccaneers. There are simply too many weapons for Tampa Bay to try and contain for a full four quarters. As long as the offensive line holds up in the absence of Eric Fisher, a Kansas City victory is inevitable
Prediction: Chiefs 30, Buccaneers 24
