Both the Boston Celtics and the Memphis Grizzlies entered their game on Thursday with 4-0 records. The Celtics emerged the 113-87 victor due to the efforts from Robert and Grant Williams.

Robert Williams III and Grant Williams

Robert Williams III has the most NBA experience on the Celtics’ Summer League roster, and he proved what the potential scouts raved about before he was drafted in 2018 is alive and well. Williams III put up 16 points (7/9) and 16 rebounds to go along with four assists and a block.

To sum up Grant Williams’ performance in a word; efficient. Williams scored 21 points and was 4/5 from three-point range. Both Williams and Williams III had a connection best exemplified by this alley-oop in transition…

Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies may have had four players score in double digits, but Dusty Hannahs was by far the most efficient performer, with just 15 points (4/7). Unfortunately, the rest of the Memphis Grizzlies really struggled from the field, resulting in a 35% field goal percentage. The Grizzlies still had a very successful 2019 NBA Summer League campaign and finish with a 3-1 record.

The two teams will square off again on Saturday at 4:30PM ET.
