Well, we finally made it to the CAA basketball tournament. There were legitimate doubts, as few conferences had as many disruptions as the CAA. Only three teams played more than 10 games, and only Hofstra hit 14 games played.
However, the chaos of the regular season is expected to continue into the CAA tournament. Absolutely anything could happen and anyone could win it all. It will be the true definition of March Madness, and it will be a fun one to watch.
Let’s take a look at the CAA Tournament bracket and schedule, then preview what we can expect to see.

Bill Coen again has Northeastern looking like the favorite to win the CAA Tournament. The Huskies have made the last three CAA Championship games. However, they have not played in almost two weeks, so we will see how they respond to the time off. Of course, the same could be said for most of the conference.
The Huskies are one of two teams to beat James Madison this year. They also have the advantage over them, with senior guard Matt Lewis out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Still, James Madison may be the deepest team in the tournament. Vado Morse showed signs of becoming the next go-to guy last game, dropping 25 points against Drexel.
Hofstra had their first NCAA Tournament bid in 19 years stripped away from them last season due to COVID-19. This season, they have a new head coach and new leaders. The Pride is the only team in the league with a three-headed monster — Jalen Ray, Tareq Coburn and Isaac Kante. All three are returners, averaging over 13 points per game.
Again, anything can happen in this tournament. There are another five schools that you can make a case for to win it all. Essentially, if you’re betting on college basketball or making your predictions, rule out Towson and Delaware. Even last place UNCW is capable of stealing a tournament spot.
