Browns vs Titans Overview

It may not be pretty, but the Browns continue to pile up wins in the first year with Kevin Stefanski as head coach. A two-point road win over Jacksonville last week gave Cleveland eight wins in a season for the first time since 2007. The ground game continues to be the focal point of the Browns’ offense, with Nick Chubb looking unstoppable since making his return from injury. Jarvis Landry had a monster game last week, a welcome sight for a team that has struggled to find consistency in QB Baker Mayfield and the aerial attack. Cleveland will also get a boost defensively this Sunday with the return of Myles Garrett as they look to cover as NFL picks underdogs.

After thrashing the Indianapolis Colts to reclaim the top spot in the AFC South, the Titans have seen heavy sharp action move the line for this game in their favor. Derrick Henry scored three touchdowns and ran wild last week in Indy. There’s no reason to think he won’t keep right on rolling with favorable NFL picks matchups over the next several weeks. Ryan Tannehill will look to follow-up on a solid outing against the formidable Colts defense and take advantage of a suspect Browns secondary.

  • Browns 2020 Betting Trends: 4-7 ATS; 6-5 to the Over
  • Titans 2020 Betting Trends: 5-6 ATS; 8-2-1 to the Over
  • The Browns are 1-8-1 ATS in their last ten games against teams with a win percentage of 0.700 or better.
  • The Titans are 5-2 straight up in their last seven head-to-head meetings against the Browns.
  • The total has gone Over in nine of the last eleven head-to-head meetings between the Titans and Browns.

Monkey Knife Fight NFL Props

Monkey Knife Fight is a DFS site unlike DraftKings or FanDuel. Instead, the contests feature props to play, with varying multipliers for each contest. Unlike the aforementioned sites, you are only competing with yourself when making NFL picks on MKF, and you do not need to worry about annoying salary caps.

Monkey Knife Fight has several great NFL props for the entire Week 13 slate. Here is one of my favorites for the Browns vs Titans game.

My overall handicap for the game falls in line with a big day for the Titans offensive stars. To that end, I’ll side with A.J. Brown to haul in at least one more reception than Jarvis Landry who has been disappointing this season aside from last week. The ever-present threat of Kareem Hunt stealing touches from Nick Chubb is an extra factor in taking Derrick Henry in an NFL props matchup between two of the league’s best backs.

Where I will give a Cleveland player the benefit of the doubt in these NFL picks is at the quarterback matchup. I don’t trust Baker Mayfield, but Ryan Tannehill doesn’t typically put up gaudy yardage totals. The fact that I expect the Browns to be trailing means Mayfield could be slinging it for the better part of the second half. Volume could wind up winning him this matchup.

Picking all three player matchups correctly would win you 5x your buy-in.

Browns at Titans NFL Picks and NFL Odds

With the spread now close to a touchdown, one can argue whether buyback on the Browns in this spot is warranted. Personally, I’m more inclined to follow the flurry of money on the Titans. Despite identical records, I view Tennessee as the more complete team. Cleveland just feels like a team that has been squeaking by on many occasions this season. Indeed, their DVOA numbers would suggest as much. The Browns could be in for a rude awakening Sunday against some stiffer competition.

I also lean towards playing under 53.5 total points. Both teams feature their rushing attacks heavily which will work in favor of shortening the game. Given that I still anticipate the Titans to get theirs, the key here becomes Cleveland. I don’t trust Baker Mayfield to begin with, and the Titans have looked better defensively in recent weeks. I’m not convinced that the Browns will be able to hold up their end of the bargain in making this a shootout. If possible, be sure to shop around for the best number you can get.

Picks: Titans -6 and Under 53.5 (-105 and -110 respectively at Bovada Sportsbook)
