The 2024 NFL Draft is shaping up to be a strong draft class, highlighted by some terrific offensive tackles and wide receivers. While there aren’t as many strong tight end options as last year, former Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers is looking like a very strong draft prospect.
We know he is going to hear his name announced early, but who is going to draft Bowers? There seem to be several teams interested and in the mix. Below, we will give a Brock Bowers draft projection from many industry experts, as well as look at a Brock Bowers draft profile and scouting report.

When is the 2024 NFL Draft?
The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 25, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 26th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, Apil 27th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.
Brock Bowers Combine Results
To the disappointment of many, Brock Bowers did not participate in the 2024 NFL Combine. We know his draft projection is high, so there wasn’t much pressure for him to participate in the drills. Bowers is coming off of ankle surgery as well, but that is not expected to be a reason for passing on running the 40-yard dash.
Additionally, Bowers did not work out at Georgia’s pro day due to a hamstring injury. We’ll get into the Brock Bowers scouting report next, but if there is one area of concern with the Georgia tight end right now, it does appear to be his health.

Strengths
Many analysts are saying Brock Bowers is among the best all-around tight end prospects in recent years, so there is a lot to like about his game. The Georgia TE gets to his top speed quickly, and he shows decisiveness in running his routes. He can make the contest catches, but he also has shown the ability to beat linebackers in man coverage as well. Once he gets the ball in his hands, Bowers has great balance which can lead to big YAC numbers.
Along with him being a solid receiver at the tight end position, what puts Bowers over the top is his blocking. Not only is he a willing blocker, but he also has the power to move bodies at the line of scrimmage and the technique to finish blocks downfield. This makes him an every-down weapon for his new team.
Weaknesses
We saw Brock Bowers limited this past season because of injuries, then he didn’t participate in Georgia’s pro day due to an unrelated injury. While far from a red flag, it is worth an eyebrow raise. Bowers also doesn’t have the massive catch radius like some recent prospects at the position. He also appears to have a limited route tree entering the draft, but there’s nothing pointing to this being his fault.
