Breece Hall Draft Profile
Strengths
Arguably the best running back in the 2022 NFL Draft, Breece Hall has the potential to be an immediate three-down back in the NFL. Hall does a little bit of everything. He was a touchdown monster with Iowa State and tends to explode for huge runs, usually turning into touchdowns. His footwork and patience will bring him a long way as well as his good cuts and ability to absorb tackles. Hall is the full package for teams in need of an immediate contributor in the run game.
Weaknesses
Much like when Jonathan Taylor was drafted, scouts and teams are worried about Hall’s workload, as he totaled over 800 touches across three seasons. His quickness is quite average and decisiveness can be slow sometimes, which will need to change considering the NFL moves a lot faster. He is fast once he gets going and is in the open field, but the lack of initial shiftiness will likely hurt him early on.
