The Big 12 was one of the conferences that were unable to run their tournament last year, due to COVID-19. This leaves Iowa State as the most recent winner of the tournament. Seeing that the Cyclones went 0-18 in conference this season, it seems very unlikely that they will make the NCAA Tournament this season. The following contains the Big 12 Tournament bracket and schedule, as well as a preview of what we can expect to see.

Big 12 Basketball Conference Breakdown
Baylor won their first Big 12 conference regular season title since 1950. The Bears had one of the greatest regular seasons in college basketball history. The Bears rank second in the country in scoring at 85.3 points per game (only behind Gonzaga). Baylor sports an average defense but they have the ability to outscore almost any team in the country, proved by their nation leading, 43% 3-point shooting. If they aren’t hitting their shots though, Baylor is susceptible to an upset, like we saw when they played Kansas.
Speaking of Kansas, the Jayhawks finished the regular season as one of the hottest teams in America, winning seven out of their last eight games, including a win over Baylor. Kansas doesn’t shoot the ball particularly well, but led by David McCormack, they average almost 39 rebounds a game. Led by one of the great coaches in America and being one of the hottest team in the country, Kansas is not a team you want to play right now.
Oklahoma State has denounced their moniker as a sleeper and has turned into a contender for the Big 12 Tournament title. Cade Cunningham leads the team as one of the best players in college basketball. Scoring 20 point per game, Cunningham fits the stereotypical build as a point guard who can carry his team far. Look for Cunningham to put on an all-time performance carrying Oklahoma State to a high seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Big 12 preseason poll was almost spot on in its predictions. They correctly predicted Baylor and Kansas to finish one and two. The biggest overachiever was Oklahoma State, who was projected to finish seventh, but finished fifth. The biggest underachiever was Iowa State, who was projected to finish eighth, but finished tenth.
