Best Monkey Knife Fight NASCAR DFS Props for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 253

NASCAR DFS | “Rapidfire” Contest for 2.5x Buy-In

-Zach McAdoo

In this NASCAR DFS contest, I am taking Chase Elliott over Martin Truex Jr. Truex. Buoyed by his pole position to start the race, Elliott will be out front for the majority of the afternoon. His points accumulation for leading laps should be able to negate the 2.5-point cushion that Truex is getting off the top. Elliott will also beat Truex on finishing position.

For the other leg, I like Kyle Busch to hold off Blaney. This one could go either way, but Busch just won in the Clash event last week on this very track. Blaney ran strong in that race, but Busch holds a 12-spot advantage over him in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 starting grid. I’ll take the #18 car in with the spread on this NASCAR DFS contest at a pick’em.

NASCAR DFS | “More or Less” Contest for 1.5x Buy-In

-Henry John

Whether you’re playing traditional NASCAR DFS this weekend or getting in on the slew of Monkey Knife Fight props, Chase Elliott has to be involved in your plays. The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion is the road course master. He’s won the last four points races that the Cup Series has run on road course tracks. Add in his pole position on the starting grid and Elliott should be able to accumulate points from leading laps in addition to a near certain top three finish.

Aside from Elliott, Martin Truex Jr. is arguably the next best road course racer in NASCAR today. While his starting poisition of 19th will require him to make up some ground, I’m fairly confident in Truex Jr. delivering a finishing result that will put him over the NASCAR DFS props line of 17.5 fantasy points.

Because I’m only fairly confident and not extremely, I’m opting to feature this NASCAR DFS contest where we can afford to get one selection wrong. As somewhat of a hedge bet on Truex Jr. going over, I like Ryan Blaney to come in under his fantasy points total of 14.5. Blaney ran well in the Busch Clash on the Daytona Road Course last week, but his starting spot of 27th is no help to his cause in this week’s race. He’s unlikely to get all the way to the front and lead laps, meaning a great finish will be necessary to reach the line.

Just as a disclaimer, Zach and Henry aren’t perfect with their NASCAR DFS props picks. With that said, you can see how we each went about making our selections for this massive Monkey Knife Fight contest below. Good luck to all with their O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 picks and lineups this weekend!
