Over the last few weeks, Zach Brunner (@FantasyFlurry), Trevor Land (@TrevorLand2) and myself (@LukeReim) have been analyzing the relevant players on each NFL team to give you the top fantasy football draft values. We gave you the tools that you need to help you understand each division.

Much of our conversation revolved around fantasy football draft value, leading to us giving a candidate for the value pick on each team. Be sure to rewatch all of our streams about this and other fantasy-relevant topics on our YouTube page. Like and Subscribe, of course.

We looked at one of the toughest divisions to evaluate in the league today with the AFC South. Guys like Derrick Henry and Travis Etienne are going to be the best fantasy players in that division, but we are looking at those solid players, who for whatever reason are not being drafted high. On that note, let’s get into it.

Best AFC South Fantasy Football Values

Houston Texans – Dalton Schultz Fantasy Football Draft Value

Dalton Schultz is currently going as TE11, which is 113th overall. Last season, Schultz missed two games, but he still finished as TE10. In fact, Schultz was a top-12 tight end in seven weeks. One of the biggest pieces to the puzzle that is the new Houston offense has to be Schultz. With a rookie quarterback and a rookie head coach, it seems logical to think that Schultz will act as the safety blanket as both develop.

Even though he was a defensive coordinator, DeMeco Ryans came to Houston from a Kyle Shanahan-led 49ers team, which features the tight end. Outside of being an important part of the team this year, Schultz might be the best offensive weapon, outside of Dameon Pierce. If you don’t land Travis Kelce right away, waiting for Dalton Schultz in fantasy football drafts may be your best option.

Indianapolis Colts – Jelani Woods Fantasy Football Draft Value

Jelani Woods is currently going as TE31, which is good for 231 overall. That probably means that he is not being drafted in your league. Last season, Woods only played in four games where he got over 40% of the snaps. This was a little confusing, as Woods has shown that he has the tools to both block and catch passes. With Anthony Richardson taking over at QB this season, it seems likely that Woods needs to be involved.

The 6-7 tight end is a huge target for Richardson, whose throwing skills may not be at the NFL level yet. It seems likely that Woods will take that starting tight end spot based on talent alone. In a tight end-friendly offense, it seems likely that Woods outpaces TE31.

Jacksonville Jaguars – Tank Bigsby Fantasy Football Draft Value

The Tank Bigsby fantasy football draft value is currently at RB48, or 148th overall. Jacksonville recently drafted Bigsby, and it seems likely that Bigsby has a role this year. It also seems likely that Bigsby will see snaps in the red zone and short-yardage situations.

There is also a likely situation where Etienne and Bigsby split early down carries, due to Etienne’s skill of being a third-down back. In order for this offense to work come playoffs, Etienne needs to be healthy, which makes me think Bigsby should have opportunities.

In all honesty, there are not many value players on the Jaguars, as their fantasy-relevant players are going where they should.

Tennessee Titans – Tyjae Spears Fantasy Football Draft Value

Tyjae Spears is currently going as RB53, good for 168th overall. Outside of DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry, the Titans do not have many fantasy-relevant players. With the legal troubles of Hassan Haskins, Tyjae Spears immediately jumps into a role in the Titans’ offense. Tennessee knows that they are not going to win a Super Bowl this year, so lightening the load on Henry is a real possibility. Even if they don’t lighten Henry’s load, the Alabama alum has had injury concerns in the past and Tennessee still does not sport a great offensive line.

There aren’t many RBs who have guaranteed carries that you can find at 168th overall. Spears will have a role on this offense.
