I am a simple Wisconsin man: I love beer and sports. I decided to create FlurrySports because I was sick of the politics and non-stories that the fat cat corporations put out. When you see football articles from me, just know that I combine my knowledge from playing, coaching, athletic training, and sports management/economic courses to give you a unique, but I feel well-rounded point of view. I am always down to talk about anything, so follow me on Twitter @FantasyFlurry if you decide you want more of me!

Man, this NFL season. If you have managed to go undefeated in your league to this point, props to you. Luck is certainly on your side. Not Andrew Luck, of course, but real luck. The luck that is nice to have. The kind that benefits you and doesn’t let you down. I mean, if luck let you down, that would be bad luck. Andrew Luck, if you will. Did I draft Andrew Luck thinking he’d miss only a couple weeks? Strange you ask, but maybe…I’m not bitter. I’m actually not too terribly bitter since I grabbed Deshaun Watson. He has…

The Peterson-Saints marriage got off to a rocky start after seeing just nine snaps against his former team week one. Video of Peterson shouting at Head Coach Sean Payton went viral, and things never seemed to change through the first month of the NFL season. It became not a question of if Adrian Peterson would be moved, but when. The question was answered Tuesday morning, as the Saints traded Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals for a conditional pick, per sources. The Cardinals have had an underwhelming five weeks of football, highlighted by the injury week one of All-Pro running…

Sunday Night Football was a rough one for the Houston Texans, as they lost more than the game. The ridiculous injury trend across the NFL continued last night with both J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus, who both are done for the season. Three-time Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt, suffered a tibial plateau fracture in his left leg. Watt has proved to be one of the most dominating forces in recent history. “Any time you lose any player, obviously a player of J.J.’s stature, it’s always tough,” Texans defensive back Jonathan Joseph said. Obviously his performance in-game is nearly impossible…

We have an interesting slate ahead of us this week. To start, we have four teams on bye: Falcons, Saints, Redskins, and Broncos. With these four teams out, and the Patriots and Buccaneers having already played, there are a lot of fantasy studs that we will not be able to use. This is especially present at the quarterback position, since we are missing Ryan, Brees, Cousins and Brady. These are four great players, despite the current MVP’s struggles to start the year. With them out, that also means there’s some really valuable pass-catchers that we will miss. These include Julio…

**Updated 10/8** Teams on Bye: Falcons, Saints, Broncos, Redskins Chaos. This NFL season has been complete and utter chaos! There are injuries to key players left and right, so much so that the Packers may need to call me to suit up Sunday. Ted Thompson, I’m willing, but I do not take a hometown discount. The Jets sit at 2-2, which is approximately two wins more than people thought they would have headed into week five. Instead, it’s the Giants who remain the winless team in the Meadowlands. The Jets are tied with the reigning Super Bowl champs, who have…

The 2017-18 NFL season has been a season of injuries and mediocre play by the Patriots at home. It has been a strange one for sure, and a difficult one for fantasy owners. If you somehow have made it this far without any major injuries to your team, you are incredibly lucky and are probably off to a good start. Like most of you, I have not been lucky enough to escape the injury bug in most of my leagues, so that is why I compiled quite the list to help this week. With the running back position being decimated…

Week three did not disappoint at all! We got to see some amazing football, with a few surprises, and it was another great week of DFS for me. Let’s continue the success and make our wallet a bit thicker this week! Like previous weeks, we’re about to reach into the bargain bin and see what we can find! These are often the guys that will aid in roster construction, because they allow for you to pay up for the studs you want. Not only are the following players at a good price, but they should outperform their value. Due to…
